well thats shocking, lol. you got rid of the ECSD grapefruit pheno? i can't believe it lol. just kidding man, i know exactly what you mean. for a plant to be a real keeper it needs to be outstanding. wish me luck with my diesel pheno search. i'm suprised you dumped the LUI, but i know how it is, some times one needs to clear out to make room for newer genes. i'm a bit behind on cutting my mommas back and they are growing into the lamp, hehe.

Nah that was soma's NYCD grapefruit pheno.... I got some cutting in the fridge cause I got a few small buds that have been curing for a couple months now.... gonna smoke those in a few and see if I wanna keep it or not.... The sour deez2.5 aint going anywahere before she has been replaced with a quicker vegging more vigorous & even mo sour IBL! lol....

Your right though man although it's nice to have variety as it's the spice of life... well so they say! but I need variety of the highest order lol.... getting picky, teehee!!

I have heard many reports about the PURE cheese clone that this blue cheese is made up of and it sounds like exactly what I want know it's just a game of waiting till someone I know gets it and that's me set....... Would be fuckin set if one of these dewds breed a cheese x sourD cross mate... although they're both clone only, with no beans nor males floatin around so gawd knows how much work it will take to get a backrossed male on the, although the dewd who made teh blue cheese seeds (big buddha) supposedly has a backcrossed male (chesse x afghani bx5 times) or summin.... I think he needs to get hold of a ESCD clone and make sour cheese asap!

so you are only now getting around to tasting the grapefruit pheno diesel? did you say it made small buds, or just that you have small buds of it to smoke? its cool for you that you have a sour diesel clone, i hope i am lucky and get a special sour d mum, time will tell i can't wait till i know which mums to keep. its funny but the more i search for that extra special strain the more i realize how damn lucky i am to have the WW that i have. there are not many other strains that i've found to be as special. one that i must try and get is the love potion from reeferman. i smoked some at the 420. first in Nols coffee shop in harlem and later i got a bud from reeferman himself and that stuff is incredibly fine. even the coffee shop one was memorable even though it was badly grown and hardly flushed. but RM sample was so nice, it had a real clear citrus taste. i can only recommend it, as soon as i'm done testing the diesel i want to try the love-potion.

Nah man I smoked the grapefruit pheno before, and I supposed if I have to smoke it again it not really a keeper, is it... I smoked 1 joint of the SD and knew that wasn't leaving my garden any time soon! With the NYCD grapefruit pheno; I just wanted to make sure that when it's had a good cure it does'nt turn out to be some stellar herb and I aint got a clone.... Anyways I smoked it now and it was good, very good... but not great! And I need the space :_

Funny you speak of love potion it grows good in a sog and I grower I have come to respect - timtim (you seen his threads) gives it the thumbs up. It's a pretty looking plant and seem fairly consistant in terms of pheno's.

Your damn right about finding something special.... luckily I was given that SD as ya know, I don't really like growing beans as it takes too long and half the time you don't get whats advertised.... but I still have a few on my list that I need to grow...

Anyways here's the seedlings as of last night.... movin a lil slow i reckon, but they'll get there in the end hopefully... teehee!

I'll start of with the slower germin seeds... they also seem to be the slowest to grow. With the exception of the one on the right

The rest have grown to a decent size, here's what they look like....










And finally here's what that lone feminized skywalker looked like 12 days ago...






And what it looks like now.... some funky looking indica leaves, but all seems well after her rather dodgy start!





I read that DP blueberry has some mutant growth, and this is a cross of the Blueberry and their Mazar which is an afghani lady....


Still not much to see but gotta keep things ticking along eh!

very nice bunch of seedlings. going through all these months of growing diesel mums just to test them has made me realize the potential value of feminized seeds lol. do they guarantee the sky-walker to be female? nice to see you still use coco too. i did it the same for my mums; coco in pots with drippers.

are you saying that the sky-walker is a cross of blueberry and mazar? sounds very fine and as you say those leaves sure point to the indica side of things. nice shinny healthy leaves, i see you retained your green thumb hey?

Cheers GM, good of yas to spur me on, lmao always a lil bring around this part of a grow, I gotz a thread of the last of the Shiva Skunk momma's going check my siggy...

Nice strain that! I took few snips as there alot smaller and less maintance than the original momma's I think I wanna keep the skunk#1 pheno.... it's a real nice toke, not execptional but yields lots of good smoke, a nice change from the sour D once in a while prolly end up replacing the sk#1 pheno with one of these blue cheese girls if they're good enough.

I dunno if they guarantee them to be female but they say they're like 99% female or summin Ya the skywalker is a Blueberry x mazar cross. I read it's not that potent but the taste is killer, daytime stuff by the sounds of it. But then again I the mazar is potent so who knows...

Just a wee update on the sick seedlings......

Well good news, the seedlingsa re getting better & color is now being restored to the leaves.... I flushed with 1/4 strength coco a&b nutes 2 days back and gave them a foliar feeding yesterday morning with this stuff called cellmax leaf spray.

Ok here's what the front the Blue cheese seedlings are looking like today... seem to be on the recovery now, bit of growth & some color coming back.



The ones in the cups were transplanted into 1L pots, roots on them were very nice but I broke a couple trying to get em out of them cups! Need to transplant em earlier next time.... freakin stoners! lmao!!

Here's the biggest seedling out of the bunch of em,




and another pre transplant, notice the odd leaf on this one. Has like a tri-ended leaf as opposed to the normal pointed edge type.




What level of food do yas feed at this early stage of growth and how do you think they're looking now?

The biggest one's are about 20 days from germin and most of the smaller ones about 18 days or summin

Hi mampi,

those look great! are you gonna flower them in the 6.5's? if so then ya, I would flip them pretty soon. as far as the results it is hard to say, sativas seem to do fine when flipped at a young age but some indicas just don't produce unless they have several weeks of veg... a hybrid like blue cheese is hard to call. I like to wait until the branches alternate, which takes at least 30 days after sprouting...

Ya I think I am gonna flower them in the 6.5L pots, should just fit in with my shiva skunk in the bloom cupboard that way.

Cheers for the advice on flipping them, I think I'll let them continue vegging till wednesday as a few are starting to show small pre-flowers which are to small to distinguish right now.

Hopefully they'll start to alternate by wed... they would be a few days over 30 by then... Mostly I just wanna find a good mum out of these girls so yield isn't a major issue.

strange leaf tips on pheno#3, new growth does not display these traits... got a lil close to the light this pheno did and the leaf damage in the pics above are due to light burn.

dallas what's up! I use canna's coco 2 part- a&b, also use a lil canna rhizotonic & cannazyme.

I got a few last veg pics of the 3 pheno's that are clear at the moment.... was supposed to put these girls into bloom a couple days back but I been a bit busy to get the bits I need to get em transplanted and into the bloom room... they'll be sorted out by monday at the latest...

These pictures show 3 of the 11 blue cheese seedlings... one as a representative of each pheno....


Pheno#1: Indica looking leaves with long fan leaf stems that let more light into lower growth.









Pheno#2: Another one with indica looking leaves, fan leaves are long as the above pheno but the leaves closer to the main shoot are closer to it than the previous pheno.









Pheno#3: One of 2 that have slimmer sativa leaning leaves...
