I've modded on a few sites and typically this is the process.

I still don't know why I received a 7 day ban in late Oct. I never had a warning but the mod talked about me out on open forums prior to banning. Then... copies one of my posts "for posterity" hu?. I sent a PM to ask if editing my posts was a TOU violation and there was no response.
A few minutes later a pop up window appeared that said I was banned for 'spamming, trolling... etc'. Then that same mod boasted about banning me and that they may do it again. wtf?

IME moderators should be... moderate. Set aside personal opinions and 'feelings' to be non biased with their moderating. Banning has been viewed as a last ditch effort, not to be whimsical according to the mod's current mood. Overseers not overlords.

I've ribbed you on several occasions and you took it on the chin rather than ban me. I appreciate that and have even come to appreciate your sense of humor... kinda.

but yes,we could do a better job as mods taking less severe actions first...but here's the thing,it's a time suck...i can't speak for the other mods but i'm busy most of the time....or really high...so sitting down and sending a pm first and trying to work things out that way can suck up a lot of time...

I really hope nothing happens and it's all bluster. But I've got this sinking feeling that something bad is going to happen.

The tricky bit is this: troops need to be mobilized, they can’t mobilize themselves. WHY would Trump mobilize troops to protect the inauguration from his maggot army? What are the actual chances that the stormers from the 6th will come back with their better-armed brethren on the 20th, and that Capitol Police will once again be caught in usher mode, and not in a true defensive posture? I’m sure there are those who’d like to take out Biden during the inauguration. I’m concerned to think of Wednesday as a dry run for the real attack, and no appropriate defensive posture active on the day.

We are getting our wires crossed in terminology.
When I reference crimes of the left I’m generally referring to the first Marxist revolution and the 2nd and 3rd..
Basically everytime communist consolidate power (and sieze the means of production) and nationalize industry (see healthcare as a slippery slope in this regard) they murder a lot of people in the name of creating their utopia

Read about Marxism quite a bit.. at one point in my life I thought I wanted a Marxist revolution here..
Now I believe everytime the govt expands it brings us that much closer to having a generation of Americans starved to death on purpose.. I think it’s inevitable we end up with a totalitarian left govt here I the USA that has quasi nationalized all Industry (a al China).

Of course a larger prison system will be needed to support this framework but that will be about the only industry that doesn’t suffer.

i believe there are aspects of our gubment that need shrinking and decluttering, but we certainly cannot let big business run amok, we have to have a strong environmental regulatory committment. (for example)

i don't think they can really disarm us, they would need an amendment which is probably not going to happen. not anytime soon, anyway.

tbh, i think "left" and "right" are meaningless and useless terms. most people (at least ones that think critically) hold views that are all over the spectrum, i imagine.

In their original context, the “left” were crazy and the “right” was terrified...plenty will see that as being unchanged...but it’s the echo of the original: it has no genuine meaning in modern politics (ie, since the French Revolution)

I admit it is super hard not to make wise cracks from reading some post. The conspiracy BS that blames the dems/rep is meant for 1 specific reason. We saw that happen on the 6th. Why do some put so much trust in any politician?. No one can say that's not happening. People died because of the loyalty from people that believed the lies Trump told and his cronies told them. It's pretty obvious that the stock market does not 'obey' old fashioned (20th century) ideas about how to evaluate the value of a stock (present value of the future earnings stream).

That's after tax earnings - the kind that get distributed as Dividends.

When Biden raises tax rates, corporate income DROPS.

When the market catches on to what corporate income is doing, the stock market DROPS.

Long story short, a Biden is coming, stock market price correction is very logical.

I'd also like to add the Second Bill of Rights finally. Have our elected officials actually help everybody instead of disenfranchising the poor and then convince one group of poor people the other group of poor people are the cause of their suffering.

Riots are being planned by the deep state. Remember when pallets of bricks were left 'mysteriously' in the riot zones in the wake of the George Floyd 'death?' Well this is the busiest intersection in Oakland, right now. For months they had impenetrable fencing with razor wire protecting this construction site. On 1-6-21 (the day of the DC capital storm) they took down the fencing and broke up the sidewalk into riot sized chunks and have abandoned it in place. I have a feeling that the deep state is about to destroy my neighborhood. I've never seen an open construction site like this. There are always barriers in urban construction. What do you see in your neighborhoods?



Anytime there are protests, marches, or riots in Oakland. This is the intersection that they converge at.
