I just stated a fact. ICMAG is not a democracy. If you cant play by the rules your not gonna like it here. I already made a few posts regarding my opinions on this. Not all mods should be mods. As I said we cant fix that. If you post something that is not a rule violation and a mod doesn't like it you might end up getting banned. That's just how it is.

i contend with this. taliban? reactionary conservatives. china, ostensibly a conservative regime that stomps out freedoms. north korea is very conservative in their values.

liberalism is exemplified by am embracing of personal freedoms such as speech, thought, expression, the press, protest, etc.

conservatism is exemplified by the protection of the status quo, and highly conservative regimes stick by this even if it means the suspension of personal freedoms.

the q-anon phenomenon is chock full of calls for oppressive theocracy from what i've seen. and the MAGA types were literally beating the press away the other day.

naziism is a reactionary conservative phenomenon (back to the old days when whites were the overlords) which made its way into the german government under the guise of expanded social welfare programs, iirc (please challenge me if you think i'm wrong, wwii history isn't my forte)

Hillary wanted to go to war with Assad in Syria although I'm not so sure that she is considering a liberal by today's standards.

We are getting our wires crossed in terminology.
When I reference crimes of the left I’m generally referring to the first Marxist revolution and the 2nd and 3rd..
Basically everytime communist consolidate power (and sieze the means of production) and nationalize industry (see healthcare as a slippery slope in this regard) they murder a lot of people in the name of creating their utopia

Read about Marxism quite a bit.. at one point in my life I thought I wanted a Marxist revolution here..
Now I believe everytime the govt expands it brings us that much closer to having a generation of Americans starved to death on purpose.. I think it’s inevitable we end up with a totalitarian left govt here I the USA that has quasi nationalized all Industry (a al China).

Of course a larger prison system will be needed to support this framework but that will be about the only industry that doesn’t suffer.

Anyway, when I’m taking right vs left... I’m referencing the farthest left as Bolshevik style revolutionaries who seek to nationalize industry, sieze the means of production...

The people that run the govt are the new aristocracy, and the poor get poorer still

I don’t think socialists want that outcome but I think
History shows that govt power is a slippery slope ands trends toward having totalitarian blood thirsty psychos in charge (on both the right ie.. Hitler.. the left Stalin, Mao)
So that’s why I think it’s better the smaller govt is,
Less opportunity for some psycho to hijak power and mass murder people thru war and policy.
But I’m def in the minority on wanting less govt so i might be missing something.

Devin Nunes went on Fox today and said without Twitter and without Parler conservatives have no way to communicate.

He said it. On Fox. On national television. He communicated it. Lol

I've seen a lot of outrage on the Right about Trump's suspension from Twitter. They're acting like his first amendment was taken away and he can't talk to the people. This would be true....if he didn't have an entire room in the white house literally dedicated to talking to the American people and reporters and taking questions.

Trump relied on Twitter's hesitation to suspend or punish him because he uses social media as a bullhorn for his gaslighting and dog whistling. He uses it as an unregulated and consequence free avenue to push his lies and propaganda.

Why go to your White House Briefing Room and say what you need to say when you have to do it in person when you can hide behind your phone and Twitter and spew your nonsense, lies and vitriol?
