I've modded on a few sites and typically this is the process.

I still don't know why I received a 7 day ban in late Oct. I never had a warning but the mod talked about me out on open forums prior to banning. Then... copies one of my posts "for posterity" hu?. I sent a PM to ask if editing my posts was a TOU violation and there was no response.
A few minutes later a pop up window appeared that said I was banned for 'spamming, trolling... etc'. Then that same mod boasted about banning me and that they may do it again. wtf?

IME moderators should be... moderate. Set aside personal opinions and 'feelings' to be non biased with their moderating. Banning has been viewed as a last ditch effort, not to be whimsical according to the mod's current mood. Overseers not overlords.

I've ribbed you on several occasions and you took it on the chin rather than ban me. I appreciate that and have even come to appreciate your sense of humor... kinda.

afaik, you can even see one of the senators in the area the mob was trying to break into.

armed security forces protecting politicians typically don't fuck around.

i've seen the multiple videos (different angles) multiple times.

seems the rare instance where a gun is being used by someone who has read the measely four (or five) rules of guns...

"line of sight", he clearly shot at an angle where nobody was behind his target.

he also gave her ample time to react and back off.

officers nationwide ought to take note.

Ya I only saw one angle on the video of the shoot.
Considering the source it prob was the most damning angle for the shooter
Even if not directly in the line of fire.. it’s close enough that I’d be real pissed if I was the cop standing directly behind Ashlee (the unarmed girl who got shot in the throat whilst surrounded by cops)

No I mean democrats and republicans.... you see taco... when u order the military (or vote for those that do) to murder people abroad and occupy their countries you become by default a murderous hypocrite..
It’s unavoidable, and you lose any moral high ground you ever hoped to have.

The cops abandoned their post under threat leaving the shooter little choice. He was hiding in the closet(?) and didn’t have a clear shot. He did stop them though. Bashing in doors, who knows what their intentions were other than the threats they were repeating. Shit happens.

He is lucky her throat stopped that bullet cause it would’ve hit the cop right behind her.
There was no mob visible.

Not really... because ur forced to pay taxes thru violence so, it’s more of a hostage type situation..
I pay taxes so the govt does come sieze my property.. If I resist them seizing my property they will kill me.
I think if u vote for people that u know will wage unnecessary banker wars then yes, some of that blood is on ur hands.

so are we taking the things a mob of protestors shout as their literal plan.. and charging them with conspiracy..
Because I can think of some other protest where some pretty wild stuff was being shouted.

not just shouting threats, but acting to back up said threats. this wasn't a run-of-the-mill protest, many were shouting about revolution. many were shouting about murder, kidnapping, etc.... and there were very serious discussion and planning before this event, online which is documented. (many of) these people were clear insurrectionists. as pointed out above, they even set up gallows. brought handcuff zip-ties. went right for the senate and house chambers. these people were out for blood, they were a lynch mob.

furthermore, the overarching goal was to overturn a legal election, to disenfranchise millions of voters. above and beyond even a riot, imo, and absolutely traitorous (again, in my non lawyer opinion)

Idk whatever mayb I’m wrong... ring everyone at the protest up for sedition and hang them in masse if that’s what u think is right.

i am a staunch supporter of free speech and the right to protest, even if i hate the opinion of those protesting. what i want to see is for those that were a part of the protest that became an angry mob (breaking into the secure part of the capitol with the clear goal of causing terror)... for those people to get arrested, get a fair trial, and hopefully end up in prison.

now for some rhetoric of my own:

i am scared for the future. am i in danger of violence against me for holding liberal beliefs? i have seen online many threats against liberals in general, and now that this happened i just wonder how serious it could be. is my family in danger because we are secular? am i going to have to lower my voice when i speak in public about my political opinions, lest i have my life threatened?

how will the inauguration week turn out? will the growing unrest threaten our way of life? will the government use it as an excuse to clamp down on our freedoms?

why were the police not fighting back hard enough to prevent the mob from getting as far as they did? is there something questionable from the top down? should i fear that there are enough MAGA traitors in the police force? in the military? could the next attempt at overthrowing democracy succeed, thrusting us into a north korea or taliban style future but with a white supremacist/ christian nationalist twist?

these are question looming in the back of my mind, now brought to the forefront after the events of january 6.

Our nation ignores hunger, homelessness, and healthcare to fund a bloated military that recieves almost triple what our nearest competitor does.

The entire military machine is in place to protect corporate interests abroad.

The only thing maga people can do is fight a terror war (like the ira did)
They can’t take the govt.
It’s not possible.
But yes I would expect violence.

I fear that the left (who hold the house, senate and executive branch will take the violence as a justification to further erode civil liberties...
But I wouldn’t worry out some religious army taking over and persecuting u and ur family for ur beliefs..
If anything it’s gonna be the left doing the persecuting and gulaging as is traditionally their wheelhouse
