I could see how using a 1/4" hose will increase recovery times.
But the difference between 3/8 and 1/2" is negligible.
Big up yourself!
I could see how using a 1/2" hose will increase recovery times.
But the difference between 3/8" and 1/4" is negligible.
Mind explaining why this is so?
I would assume the following to be true.
Resistance to flow is from friction against the walls of the hose, and the pump has a 1/4" inlet so anything larger than 1/4" reduces the friction against the walls, by giving the same volume of air, a greater volume to expand into.
There are practical limits, and at some point the larger volume comes into play as well, from the standpoint it is more volume to evacuate. The sweet spot lies somewhere less than 1/2".
Thanks GW, based on that would you recommend a smooth bore PTFE overbraided hose over a corrugated stainless hose do to decreased surface area -> decreased resistance to flow?
Not sure if someone has asked this before, but approximately how often are you supposed to replace the filter leading to the appion? Is there a way to tell when they're done?
Got this bad boy finally rocking.
we got 6# to fit in it and got this.....

I really don't think the 'Re-circulating' method of showering your tube
is a good idea, as the butane is pretty hot. Around 80 to 90F.
