I guess I should have clarified why I go that route.
I certainly am not a production scale processor and I don't use the pour off method.

My MKiii runs 2-3 times a week at the most with 5lbs of solvent in the tank. For my personal situation, getting a Ecogreen tank would draw more attention than picking up a a few cans every once in a while.

The friends that produce on a much bigger scale go with the tanks, but yes it gets distilled either way.

I see no reason for guilt in loading a CLS with cans rather than from refrigerant tanks like Ecogreens, but do beware, Ecogreen doesn't ship discreetly! Your delivery driver is going to know something's up...

When you fill a truck bed up with contractor bags filled with cans you feel guilt. 24lb tank is a little less than a master case, I just wish there was a responsible way for disposing of ecogreen tanks, the RSD guys said they just dump them.

Perma: I believe you can recycle non-refillable refrigerant tanks with steel scrap rather than taking to the dump, you just have to make sure they are evacuated and puncture the rupture disc with a screwdriver before you scrap them.

About zero guilt loading cans, albeit a time consuming process, but I also felt vulnerable getting rid of multiple garbage bags full of empty cans, because of the attention it draws.

The empty tanks I just punch out the rupture disc and deposit in a commercial steel erectors scrap bin, where they draw less notice than several hundred lighter cans would.

What are some non extraction reasons to be ordering n butane tank... r there anything a normal home owner would use it for????

A $10 bill and a nice smile on trash day, and the garbage man grabs as many black trash bags as I can toss into the truck :D

Dual columns, dual Appions, dual molecular transformers...

Just need to make another IC69 to replace the MT69 and buy some more stainless lines...

Do you flood them both at the same time, or one and then the other?

Also, you only need the stainless lines from the tank to the gauges, and
from the left side of the gauges to the tops of the columns.

The coils of the MT and IC 69 are in the water bath (27gal tote) that holds the system. Ice is added as needed, but depending on how cold the inbound solvent is there can be an issue of ice forming around the collection pot...

You can see the top of the IC69 which is 25' 3/8"ss tubing in a nice coil with Swaglock ball valves and fittings. The MT69 is off the shelf 1/4" copper tubing.

Looks clean!! You guys aren't using warm water on your collection spool?

We like to have our SS after chiller in a wet ice/water bath and our collection spool in about 80-90 degree water. I know when running TR21's DI can be very helpful on the after chiller.
