Hey KB, nice system. I think I'd enjoy playing around with that. It was great to see you guys.
Just wish you could have stuck around a little longer. :) I need to find the thread that shows how this thing works top to bottom.

Yeah what's your verdict on the ecogreen krunch? I saw dopecooks on IG saying he didn't recommend it anymore because it had black specks and smelled bad? I can't seem to find that post now but I know I read it.

A few associated use Ecogreen and have never had any problems with it after a distillation. One friend did say the last tank he got smelled a little different than the others he had, but again no problems after distilling.

In our system we have been using canned "Puretane n-Butane 99.99% 7x Filtered, Triple Refined" because it is a little bit easier for us to acquire and keep a few cases on hand for refills.

I don't use anyones butane without distilling it first to remove solids, and after distilling the Ecogreen, it produces a clean pristine extract.

The only time I've gotten black specs in my recovery pot from distilling butane, was when I was using a can tapper. I discovered that the black specs are paint from the outside of the can, scraped off by the tapper.

The material that I distill out of the Ecogreen n-Butane is a light amber/yellow color, with no solids or specs.

I had it analyzed by a third party lab and it contained no evil spirits at levels of health concern.

Yeah, getting rid of the cans does draw attention, no?

I guess I should have clarified why I go that route.
I certainly am not a production scale processor and I don't use the pour off method.

My MKiii runs 2-3 times a week at the most with 5lbs of solvent in the tank. For my personal situation, getting a Ecogreen tank would draw more attention than picking up a a few cans every once in a while.

The friends that produce on a much bigger scale go with the tanks, but yes it gets distilled either way.
