Awesome, cant wait to see your upgrades. Im finally up and running with my bhogart, first run was 3 ten minute showers(running some edible) took about 5 hours to run. It took so long to run because i was only able to set the collection pot in room temp water that quickly cooled. I was able to pack 2440g in my 4"x48" column, i also packed the reducer full. Even with that long run, that's at least one or two full days of work on my little mkiii with WAY less work lol. I only have 1 recovery tank at the moment but when my other tank gets here i will be running the mkiii while the 5# bhogart is running.
How is everyone heating their collection pots?? Right now im pumping hot water out of a crock pot into a 30 gal tube the machine sits in. Its working but not very well, its heats up my water to 95F overnight then when i run in the morning its stays warm till about the last pass. Itll be perfect for good quality runs but for edibles i need this thing HOT lol.
Since i only have 1 recovery tank, im using the collection pot of the mkiii as a "warm trap". Its sitting in a crock pot at 120F, i have the recovery hose going from the bhogart to the butane in-port of the mkiii then the appion hooked up to the recovery port on the mkiii. So the vapor is getting pulled into the hot mkiii and then getting recovered. I think it helped but have no base to compare to. If anything it makes it impossible to suck oil into my appion, which is good i guess(never done it before anyway).
I also dont use the stupid manifold that bhogart sends. seems unnecessary and just another brass thing i dont want to use, all the brass fittings everywhere else is enough. I just have my 50# tank hooked up to the top of the column with a valve. My SS hoses are on the way so i can run some nugs at -70, either going to freeze my tube in a rubbermaid bin or try to find a bigger freezer to put it in(also with some dry ice around it)
Im loving the 12" bottom, we've just been pouring the last little bit of liquid butane out to avoid scraping. Its not as big and hard to handle as i imagined. I do feel like this 12" pot from bhogart is a little thinner then other 12" spools.

If that was a TOU violation they would have just deleted the sig. I've seen many sigs that say "deleted for TOU violation"
As for this place being more quite than it was 5 years ago, I'd say there are a lot more cannabis sites now and youtube / facebook are also taking up a lot of the cannabis communication over the internet.
We all harken back OverGrow and days past however the reality is the cannabis community is diverse and spread all over the internet now.
I really love this site and think forums like the cannabis concentrates section here will draw a lot more new members.
I agree, if it was his sig that ridiculous, he has 6800 posts lol, thats quite a contributor. He stated he started this thread for the fact he liked the company because they were local, maybe he should have added, "my favorite machine is{BhogartImage}". Hopefully it wasnt the sig thing as thats someone getting to happy with the ban hammer.
