i would think the eggs would have popped by now if they were gonna.
4 days is the gestation period for them eggs to hatch.
if they havent by now, they prolly wont.
sponge the sacs off the leaves, take your cuts, trim the mom down, spray the cuts and mom once more for good measure.
just keep your eyes on her.
you should be golden.

Just lost a HUGE post. Ugh. Gonna post the last paragraph that got saved up so i can just copy and paste it later when I re-do the original post. Im glad IC is looking out for my security by logging me out after some inactivity, but does it have to eat my posts? GRRRRR

"Finally, I found that using an intermatic timer helps tremendously. Generally, I leave the cloner running 24/7 for the first day or maybe two. Then I switch it to 30 min on/30 min off until I see roots. Sometimes I go further like 30on/60off or even 30/90 to really force those roots to search for water, but more often than not, its sits at 30/30 for the majority of the process. A really awesome feature of the ez is that once you have nice established roots, add some hydro veg nutes, and put a stronger light over it and you can actually do a good bit of vegging right in the unit. Most beneficial for hydro growers obviously, but it still helps out in mixes, especially coco. "

Here we go, lets see if I can remember everything.

Hopefully those eggs are toast. Little bastids are a pain. Just finished battling them for about 6 months. Here is what I've learned.

The best product for killing mites Ive used is pyrethrum, specifically the $5 "Fruit and Vegetable Insect Killer" from the depot. They also sell "Houseplant and Flower Insect Killer" which is the same exact product, relabeled. Neem is good, but mixing it is a pain (I like to keep the Dr. Bronner's in the bathroom, nah mean, lol). Luckily, the same company makes a premixed neem spray called "3-in-1 miticide/insecticide/fungicide". Dr. Doom make a pyrethrum fogger to penetrate all the nooks and crannies.

Another EXCELLENT product for eliminating spider mites in ALL STAGES is SM-90. Wonderful product, totally. Smells like yellow fruit loops, has a growth stimulator which actually increases water and nutrient uptake, acts as a surfactant for foliar feeding, smothers eggs because of its oil content, and keeps roots white and healthy. Works WONDERS when mixed with pyrethrum (mix according to SM-90 bottle, than pour just a little pyrethrum in).

What I usually do is take the plants into the bathtub, angle the head towards the back end of the tub, and tilt the plant into the stream, effectively washing off the leaf bottoms, while preventing too much water from soaking the medium. Then I spray the shit out of them with whatever Im using. Let them sit for a little, then shower again. Light misting again (usually just sm-90 this time, pyrethrum/neem/sm-90 first time), let them dry, then back in the room. Repeat this every 3-5 days for 3 applications. Rinse well after 3rd application, wait 5-6 days, then do one or two more applications (can be just sm-90, or very lightly with pyrethrum) spaced at 3-5 days to be sure. Monitor and continue regimen as needed. Usually 3 weeks of this, along with cleaning your room, will do the trick.

Another product that will destroy mites is the No-Pest Strip (NPS). These are designed to be used where humans will NOT be for more than 4 hours a day. Vacation homes, garages, attics, boats, yadda yadda. They are not sticky traps as I originally thought. they are a thin film encased in plastic a la air freshener stylee that is impregnated with a potent chemical insecticide that disperses into the air. They will NUKE THE SHIT OUT OF MITES. Its best if you have your grow in a cab/tent/enclosed space so the air can become sufficiently saturated faster. Very effective

As for the ez cloner, if you haven't been doing the bleach rinse in between every cycle, that is most likely your problem. High water temps could also be an issue, but there is an easy way to help fight that (more on that later).

Like CF said, I've also had the best results with plain tap water. The chlorine acts as an antiseptic for the first day or so before it all bubbles off, which along with temps no higher than 72 ideally, will give your clones the edge over the nasties. Also, resist the temptation to use any additives at all, such as nutes, hormones, gels, stimulants, etc. I feel like adding anything besides water just gives the beasties something to chew on, lol.

What I do is take the cloner into the tub (im there often), give it a rinse with the shower, fill it with water to the standard operating level, maybe a little higher, than dump in a bunch of bleach. They recommend a 10-15% solution, but I probably go as high as 30-40% at times. Put the machine back together, plugs and all, and run it for 30-60min. Dump it, fill it with plain water, run for another 30 minutes. Dump, fill with water, do one more quick 15 minute cycle to be sure all the bleach residue is rinsed from the innards of the beast. Rinse in the shower, fill it and your good to go.

Its also good to change the foam pucks every few cycles, when they get leaves 'melted' on them. I use a diy ez, so changing the pucks only cost me $1-2(pipe insulation), even for an 80 site, so I do it often. Cheap insurance.

Finally, I found that using an intermatic timer helps tremendously. Aside from helping hasten root development, using a timer to cycle the pump helps keep rez temps within the desired level, as a majority of the heat comes from the pump. Frozen liter bottles of water help in hot summer months when the ambient temps are more of a concern.

A really awesome feature of the ez is that once you have nice established roots, add some hydro veg nutes, and put a stronger light over it and you can actually do a good bit of vegging right in the unit. Most beneficial for hydro growers obviously, but it still helps out in mixes, especially coco.
