Man, I can't wait to get out to Oregon so I can grow some outdoor monsters. I'll live vicariously through you guys until then. :DYou should consider vegging indoors for a month or two to give them a jump so they will be bushes going out and grow into trees in the short season you guys have.

That Killer looks, well, killer!
Have you run the Sweet Candy before? I have actually seen those leaf edges curling up like that before, now if I could only remember what causes that. Looks like maybe K might be locked out. Might give a good flush and see if that helps. Looks like it's almost done, so a good soil flush probably wouldn't hurt anyway.
Just bouncing ideas around

Looked it up and it looks like magnesium deficiency. Are the leaf stems turning purple? One of my oldest strains is a magnesium hog, I knew I had seen that before. Epsom salts at 1tbsp per gallon will clear it up. I use 2 tbsp per gallon in hydro for the same thing. If it goes further the leaves will harden and start to fall off

No purple stems on the killer kush.

I've been foliaring with pure calcium, magnesium, silica, and aloe in a blend and then alternating with a humic, fulvic, hydrolized fish, and soluble kelp meal blend. I foliar every other day up until the last few weeks of flowering.

When I first transplanted the killer and others into the smart pots I didn't flush good enough and it burnt the leaves. It could be from that.

Sorry man, I was talking about the overall yellowing and upturned leaf edges (the saw blade tips) on the Sweet Candy strain looking like a bit of a magnesium deficiency.

Here are a few pics of the pie face and killer kush at gopher hill gardens. So, the killer kush is in week 10 and I noticed just a tiny bit of bud rot so I harvested it. It stinks just like grapefruits. Well done. Its been sunny but that early morning dew is a problem. I didn't spray any foliars on this killer kush and it went through all the storms and weathered it. I say well done.

The pie face still has a few weeks. The weather outlook is looking mostly sunny until mid October. :)

Not much smell on the pie face but its looking dank. Its around week 5.

I'm assuming u mean the fresh candy? Sorry I forgot to mention that I give it a gallon of calmag each week.

U think it would benefit from a soil drench of Epsom salts for mag? Maybe this girl needs a lot of mag?

I foliar it with mag from epsom salts each week... Along with liquid cal, silica, and powdered aloe.

I'm thinking a sap test would be useful right about now.

Looking good, bigdank! Killer kush has really filled out well. How big of a container is the Fresh Candy in? Maybe she just wishes she had more space... seems perked up! :smoke:

Thx. Yeah, I got some killer hang drying. Will test it soon. Hopefully it puffs as good as it looks. It smells very citrusy just like grapefruits.

The fresh candy is in a 45 gal smart pot but I think it only has about 35 gals of soil in there. And I kinda think ur right. Unreal how perky it is. Can't hardly see the buds. She's got a tight structure. Stalky stocks. Subtle smell. Its been resistant to botrytis from the morning dew...so far. Might bring her indoor as it might rain tomorrow. And lastly, she's in late week 6 so its gonna be done soon.

I had to harvest the mickey kush at my medical garden this morning because bud rot started in on a couple top buds. I caught it nice and early though. Tomorrow would of been the beginning of week 8. So I had to pull a bit early but that's typical around here.

Even though it was covered from the dew/rain and had a box fan and oscillating fan on the plant 24/7 it still got bud rot from the high humidity outdoors. The good thing about mickey kush is its good smoke already :)

I never sprayed any fungicide on it. Just a bunch of organics. They didn't work, helped though. I'm trying greencure fungicide at some other patches. Hopefully it makes the difference.

Speaking of other patches. Here are some pics from a patch I haven't shown yet. I call it Barny's patch. Grew it with foxfarm and down to earth rose mix. Foliared with protekt and soluble kelp only. Gave em act once. Planted the big ones July 1st and the smaller ones at the end of July.

Barney's patch:

The mickeys are the smaller ones. The gg4 aka Kong are the big ones pictured on the left and the front. The other two big plants are blue og in the middle and obama on the right.

More from Barny's patch. I really didn't know what to expect here but its turning out pretty good. This weather is a blessing! The mickeys were in a lot of shade for a while but are in the sun now :)

No bud rot, pm, or pillars....so far.

Here's some photos of another garden I been giving a hand. Its called Georgie's med garden. This is a first run at this location. In the beginning of the season they had a couple med cards but no money for soil, clones, or ferts. So I showed em how to use their front lawn, lol. Their doing a good job watering and feeding act. Wasnt sure what to expect in the beginning . Have a look.

I terminated this project. No biggie. I learned a lot. I wanted the challenge of growing dank out of the front lawn. I grew em good and may things go well for them. I kinda knew it probably wasn't gonna work by observing their actions. I'll walk when fools go rogue. I got my own garden :joint:

nice colours

Obama was my best flower last year. I struggled and almost pulled it, but look smell and taste were:woohoo:View Image

Yeah, the smell is amazing! Not the biggest yielder but a truly unique flavor and very dank. It might be good to cross with something :)

I already bread Obama kush with mickey kush earlier this year. The seedlings are going now. It will hopefully be a great outdoor variety next year :artist:

Today was a bit rough but not unexpected. I noticed bud rot on the fresh candy and blue og. Their in week 7 and 6 so I'm not surprised. I brought the fresh candy indoor and sprayed the rot with a peroxide solution. I'm gonna try and let it go a few more days. More bud rot is probably hidden.

The blue og and the rest of my plants I sprayed with greencure fungicide. That's my first application of it on my garden. I'm starting to realize how important organic fungicides and pesticides are to outdoor gardening. Ill probably start doing that in the future. The patches I've been spraying the last few weeks seem to be fairing much better.

Yesterday I pulled about 4 cats off the pie face. Hopefully its fairing well :)
