Are you trying to keep your plants out of the public's view bc of law as in CO, or are you trying to avoid potential rippers? I'm just curious about the black and white poly hanging up. Lookin killer in any case! Looks like it's about that time:D. I'm interested to see how these fast versions I'm working on will turn out.

The poly is up because the suns reflection from the window burns the plants big time.

Yeah I'm gonna pull her very soon. So far I'm super impressed with this killer kush fv. I'm gonna have to try more :)

The fresh candy is starting to look good. It was suppose to finish at mid September but it still has 3 weeks to go.. She did not intrigue me with the way she looked since I first saw her. But now she's starting to look kinda sexy. She's getting frosty and has not stopped praying in weeks! Smells sweet too :)

The fresh candy is suppose to be an s1 from a killer pheno from breeder Steve's company spice of life seeds. Its better known as the original sweet tooth. Its a seed I got from pyramid seeds. Its been a sleeper that's for sure. To me its just been a plain Jane but I have a feeling I'll be surprised in the end.

Looking like an epic finish dank! That killer may be the 45th's sweet spot. Glad you took some clones!

Thanks, I hope so. Now I wanna breed it with some stuff :)

You think reversing the killer kush to make s2's is a good idea? I wonder if s2's are any good. I could at least breed it to mickey kush.

We used to keep track of our strains with numbers and letters. Some of those crosses would look like a physics problem! From my experience the s2 should hold potency and retain all those lovely genetic traits, as well as help stabilize the strain. Maybe x the Mickey too, but it's like shuffling a deck of cards to me. You have to shuffle a lot of times to get a great hand.
Stabilizing a strain like the killer could be the bread n butter for this area after Oct. 1 when I figure demand will go through the roof around here. A solid local performer like that could help a lot of people.
But if it was me, I wouldn't be able to resist trying both!

Yeah I tried a lot of strains that were suppose to finish early to mid September and the auto flower influenced killer kush was the only strain to actually do it at my lat! At this point, I'm not sure any true photo strain will.... The earliest I've seen all look similar to the mickey kush at this point.

I would like to pheno hunt the killer kush some more outdoors. I wonder what quality mine is to the rest of its sisters because I had just one seed...I got lucky I feel but wouldn't know without pheno hunting. I wonder if many other phenos will have good quality and early finishing?

I'm sure we will find out next year. I can tell I've hyped auto influenced varieties and killer kush up a bit with my thread :)

Next year everyone post some pics of their killer kush and their latitude in my thread so we can admire the phenos. A group pheno hunt if u will!

How do u think I could help folks the most with my killer kush pheno? Donate a bunch of clones to clubs? I've seen killer kush at clubs before. It got a lot of praise. That's one reason I grabbed it.

After some thought, I think you could really help the area by making this strain available to other local growers, keeping it vigorous, and finding crosses that enhance its already favorable characteristics.
Nepal Jam from Ace Seeds looks like a good candidate. Excellent mold, spider mite, and botritis immunities, along with great cold resistance would seem to make it an ideal cross to keep vigor up in a sativa in our latitude. It's also listed as a late September/ early October finish.
I am planning on giving this one a shot indoors and will report my experience in the forum.

I'll see what I can do...thx! Good luck with the jam :)

Is there anyway to rotate the pic upright on icmag?

I had to rotate the pic in a photo editing app to upright it here:

nice job bigdank ;)

Thx. Have a look at my fresh candy. Its been turning light green even though I give it a gallon of ACT once a week. It has fish, kelp, and guano in it which are NPK, mineral, and microbe sources. I also top dressed it with a few gallons of compost about a week ago. I almost forgot about calmag, it gets that weekly too. Still yellowing up. It hasn't stopped the praying though. Not even at night. Its a hardcore worshiper!
