Just picked up some BC Bud Depot Blueberry and Ultimate Purple seeds. Wondering if anyone has ever grown these strains and has any tips, comments or photos.
all my ultimate purples popped.just getn m up to clone then throw into bud.keep ya posted.also doing nirvanas aurora and masterkush and just ordered connaseurs og chem haze but still waiting on those beans.so far masterkush and aorora all popped too.good stuf.
I think rare aslo does rugburn and a venom which I have personally smoked. Some buds from arcata did the venom last couple of years outside and I smoked that over the indoor I had.If this nirvana masterkush isn't "the masterkush"ima check bcbud depots socal masterkush.look like is gets some purple in the coloring.
I hope you post your progress with these. Too many people "hear" that seed companies are junk and then spread it as fact. 2¢
My good friend got 3 packs of Purps and 3 packs of BB. He popped them all and found some really nice potential keepers. The BB suprised us all by the slight variation and what looks to be a nice BB sativa pheno that smells like mine did back in the 90's. I am excited about these BB and Purps.
Bigbag obviously had a bad experience?
Best of luck to your grow and hope you find some special plants!
My experience is that bcbd is not a great company. Gsc freebies I got were garbage, but to be fair that's just freebies I didn't exactly pheno hunt. But I popped five motarebel beans and of the two females both were jaw dropping. And one of the males showed perfect branching, perfect smell, and late sexing, which IMO are three things you rarely find a male with, as opposed to six foot tall sticks with four fan leaves no side branches and sacs showing mid veg, so obviously not all breeders gear requires a ton of hunting, but ime bcbd packs take some hunting based on the three or four freebies I ran with nothing worth keeping
In my opinion if you only popped 3-4 seeds, you can not judge an entire company and catalog of strains, let alone make public claims that their product is bad.
Lets stick to facts backed up by a grow diary with pics, before bashing peoples work.
Didn't say they were two bit crooks like swerve, just sayin you gotta hunt. I've never gotten a weak pheno from bodhi, even the runts reak and have ridiculous frost, I'm just sayin with bc, you better be doin a large selection, because their beans throw some crap phenos, even if you can find keepers. And their selling gsc as original unhybridized, when it's clearly an s1 cut that they self. How is cashing in on hype with false advertising the behavior of an honest beeeder. If your co sells straight gsc beans, I scoff at such lies. Using it in hybrids? Totally honest and ok, for example: sinmints, cookie wreck, and strange kindness. All from reputable breeders. Only swerve and bcbd are selling beans under the name gsc, and is a company following suite with cali connect who you really wanna send your money too? I specifically said I only popped a few, so I couldnt say for sure, and I'm pretty sure my point was just that there are breeders whose gear spits all fire phenos, no hunting required. Not sure how any of this is misinformation
You seen like the "I know everything" type of person, whereas in my post I said "IMHO" and "ime". I don't know everything, so take my opinion for what it is, and leave the credibility attacking in politics where it belongs
I was not attacking or claiming to know all. I just don't understand how after popping three freebies you can make bold statments like, be prepared to pheno hunt large batches, and a company is crap, when you have grown a whopping 3 seeds of a single strain. I have know idea about their GSC, and yes the seed biz is full hype and a lot of scammers, but thats where we come in to seperate the facts from fiction.
My point is, unless you grow out a full pack at min, there is no way to get an accurate representation of a strain. This isnt Days of Thunder, " what do you know about stock car racing? Well iv seen it on television of course."
Stating your experience is one thing, telling another member a company is crap based off popping 3 seeds is another.
I said they're not a "great company" didn't say crap. Just making the point that on one pack of bodhis, all the ladies are lookin like keepers, my nevilles haze was a single seed, and it's like super nevilles, flowers fast for a haze and yields nice. My first strawberry pheno of mota came from two seeds of the first five I popped, and the other gal smelt like lemon pledge and blasted two grams of shatter from seven grams of bud. What seed co, what strain, whose growin it, there bound to be some differences in experience, but in mine, if you do your homework on the breeder and the genetics, a keeper shouldn't be hard to find. Again just my opinion, it's all subjective anyway. Their the big intrigues me, I love the free leonard, but their business ethics deter me, don't like hype strains cashing in on clone only names that will never be replicated
their genetics from what i hear are great, its everything else about the company that sucks...i grew sweet god and loved it,,,but that being said i dont know how they are still in business
I got seeds from a dispensary so did not have to deal with the company. If any one who has GROWN these strains has info please give info on how the plants turned out. Its all about the genetics.
Well if the blueberries from dj stock as they imply, they should be nute sensitive with a high rate of mutants showing twisted leaves. Also it's common knowledge that it takes a decent amount of blueberry seeds to find a winner, super recessive genetics, also hermies are a guarantee because of the Thai in her, so be watchful. Ive grown blueberry, just not bc's, and bcbd and dp both claim to have dj blueberry so if u find a winner and treat her right she'll be exquisite. No experience with their purple strains but I don't like purples so I couldn't be objective anyway
I disagree, there's only a finite amount of genetic combinations, maybe a lot but not infinite. I've seen someone with the same plushberry pheno as mine, so obviously if I asked them for advice before I grew it they could have done so accurately, even if the genotypes weren't 100% identical in terms of a few alleles
Reef recently told me he worked over some of the BCBD lines for Matt, I think he mentioned the CBD offerings in particular, but he might of said he fixed up some of the other stuff too. I'll ask next time I talk to him.
Stanky: You're misinterpreting what I'm saying. Look at any grows of the same strain from Bud Depot, and it becomes obvious what you get is a crapshoot.
