@Perdido @goingrey is correct, Bangi Haze is currently at F8 stage, you can find this type of info in our strain descriptions > Additional Information > Type and Genetics.

Glad to hear that your Bangi Haze selection @lemonade is not only a great yielding looker, but also a stinkier :D Really complex terpene profile based on your description.

Bravo Glorn2  congrats on your outdoor Bangi Haze SCROG harvest, what a show and what a bountiful harvest. So happy for you, you will easily get even bigger yieds with Panama x Malawi next season ;)

Seeds sprouted September 4.
Hi there Fletch
I got one Bangi haze girl, interesting to compare
This feminized seed was a freebie that amazingly made it past customs and if it makes past customs I certainly try it...she was sprouted same day I got it on august 28th.
She was outdoors winter grow at the greenhouse in ascending sun hours.
She showed first pistils on october 16th outdoors and a couple of days later I brought her indoors for her flowering cycle.
I was worried about fungus or mold issues but this plant is resistant to bugs as well
The only problem I have indoors is a little leaf tip burn similar to yours, maybe we are feeding too much
She is in a 5 It Hercules/Ercole pot. I feed her using Canna Bioflores and coffee leftovers
I am taking a cut later in the day, I am curious how this unique looking calix expresses outdoors, I am sure will be different.

These pics were a couple weeks back. Just finished trimming her up this morning before work.
Awesome bud structure and density, great flower to leaf ratio. Super easy to trim. The one I grew looks a lot like the others shown here, but a friend of mine grew another Bangi Fem seed out from the same pack and got an insanely leafy structured plant that absolutely stinks like fuel and skunk. The buds are basically tightly stacked layers of leaves with a Calyx here and there but extremely frosty. His is the first Bangi Haze I’ve seen look like that.

For the last month my yard and anywhere near my house has absolutely wreaked of weed. I know every neighbor could smell it. Thought it was my Neville’s haze x Panama throwing the stink because she was loud up close and this Bangi was kinda subtle seeming right next to it, but nope, it was the Bangi stinking up the place. Really strong smell while drying also. My yard is now void of delicious smells unless you get right next to the plants.
Has a floral/slight berry perfume smell to it on the front end followed by an extremely strong fuel smell that dominates the nose after the first little whiff passes. Wife has been calling it “Sex Panther” after Anchor Man. 😂

Looks wonderful @Cactus Squatter  Great looking pheno, excellent resins and flower/leaf ratio, happy to hear she also stinks. Love to see growers getting such nice results from this old strain.

Definitely an oldie but a goodie. I’m pretty sure I got my seeds as fem freebies as well. It’s become one of my favourite strains. :)

I’ve finally finished clipping my Outdoor -> Indoor Bangi Haze! Kinda bitter-sweet as that was my last plant from this years outdoor season. Just took some clones from my Malawi and KA5H mothers for an indoor run. Good things to come! 👍

This year I’ve been doing the initial curing/sweating in 5 gal buckets lined with bags. After that I put some in jars for a long term cure, then the rest gets vac sealed and put in a deep freeze. I’m digging the buckets so far. 😋

Wow those are some nice big buds!

I'm looking at Bangi Haze vs. Malawi, my first Ace Sativa.

Need one that finishes in 11 weeks.
If that is your criteria then it's Bangi Haze for sure. None of the four females from the Malawi 5-pack (6 seeds) I grew recently were anywhere near done in 11 weeks (from pistils). Been some years since I grew Bangi Haze and can't remember the details so well but it should be a 10 week strain..

Oh my god! It really does taste of onions!

I’ve never had this flavour before and am absolutely loving it. And excellent soaring, up high that’s perfect for wake and bakes. A real day brightener. Lots of sativa energy. Can’t wait for it to cure and to spend a little time really getting to know this strain.

Great work Ace seeds. I should have tried this one sooner.

Alright, so, I have officially learned something this cycle. Well, learned something that is already known, but was able to get the hands-on experience. Anyone out there may be on the fence about Far Red light spectrum, I implore you to re-consider it!
If you scroll back through the pages of Bangi Haze, you will see that I have grown it quite a few times. And specifically, I have grown this sativa dominant pheno with a 16 week flowering time 5 times now (I like it a lot). This is my last run of it, all of the clones are finally spent. I gave about about 50 to friends, who grew her out in various conditions. I have grown it under blurples, under full spectrum high powered LEDs, and under the sun (At 42 degrees N). Others have grown it under high and low powered LEDS, as well as under the sun. That 16 week flower has been pretty constant across the board; though you can harvest as early as week 14.
Enter my new lights (similar to my old ones, but with far red included). Far red is said to trigger early flowering, and help plants transition between day/night cycle more quickly. On some of my other strains the results were "ehh", but on the Monster Bangi (our nickname for this pheno, due to how fast and large it grows) it is a force to be reckoned with! Pictured below is this pheno at week 11! This is typically what week 14 looks like on her.
We have a couple PanamaXMalawi in with this, and they don't seem to have the same reaction; they appear to be a solid week behind.
I've got 6 more Bangi's started from seed, and they will be going in this tent and thrown into flower in 3-4 weeks, so we will see if the far red boosts the flowering time of all Bangi's, or just this specific Pheno.

Damn guys :tiphat: i'm pretty amazed with the great phenos and great plants you have shown lately in this thread!

Wow @lemonade o_O i never thought your indoor plant was so big, that 's a record harvest on a single indoor Bangi Haze plant, congrats for such green fingers and result ! :smoke:

hehehhee @b8man yeah, the herbal-veggie smelling-tasting expressions leaning to Bangi Haze mother 29 can be quite weird at first, especially nowadays when many smokers are used to sweet creamy cake kushy terpene profiles.

Hi @Glorn2 you will miss that long flowering pheno you selected, but sometimes one must let it go ..... glad you give away many clones of her among your friends, hopefully someone one falls in love with her and will keep this particular plant alive for a long time. Anyway, if your goal is to find faster flowering expressions, there are other faster flowering Bangi Haze phenos and many other ACE sativa strains of around 12 weeks of flowering (some even shorter). Panama x Malawi fem is a great choice! (y)

Looks like she had a good finish @nono_fr :) a very congolese sativa pheno!
Probably the lack of nutrients and cold temperatures in late flowering enhanced her colors.

Enjoy frriends! :ying

It can be a bit dense at first and defies my capacity for a simple explanation but I recommend research into red light photoreceptors and in particular Phytochrome and its role in all stages of growth in photoperiod plants, not least in the commencement and progression of flowering.

Here is a piece that concentrates more on veg growth but it's very useful.

Peace
