In post #16 Dubi says, "Bangi haze was a complex hybrid of congolese x nepalese with a hint of haze hybrid influence. Now is a very uniform inbred line which can we used to cross with other inbred lines, producing strong and vigorous F1 hybrids. Her fast flowering, mold/cold resistance, good production of high quality and resinous flowers and her powerful energetic congolese high are desirable traits for breeding."

Horrible picture but this is a bangi Haze branch that turned into a giant over 30" long spear.
There are about 4 or 5 if these spears

3 of 6 bangi hazes being run.
from the '10~'12 batch of BH seeds.
they haven't sexed yet.
left-most plant has little side-branching,
and looks to be heading columnar.
the other two have varying side-branchiness...

grown with used soil, amended with bio-fish and alfalfa meal,
which turned out to be a little hot in the quantities used.
fresh-mowed grass and onion aromas.

I grew Bangi years ago. Still have a few seeds. I totally got the onion funk from them. Thanks for making me realize, I’m not crazy LF. In fact, that onion is why I haven’t grown them since. I’ll eat it but prefer not to smoke it.

They get that long? Nice..

Well these two plants did. I don't think the last one I did before did that.

The spears are long but it's not like it's one giant bud. It's a bunch of tiny buds wrapped around a pretty big girthy stem.

I'll try to remember and I'll weigh the spears whole and then removed from the stem. I'm interested to see the difference.

Drying bangi.
Out of the two I bloomed this time, there were definite differences.
Both were super long spears.
One was very "airy" and the other is dense.
I like the smell of the dense one the best. I like it better than the 9thers I grew last year.
Has a skunky odor with something I can best describe as onion or garlic like, but not the full notes of skunk, garlic, or onion. I suck at describing. Lol

Any ideas why one was airy and other dense bud? Different seeds?

Bud looks super. 9 weeks flower?

Trimmed the denser bangi pheno today. It's bigger than the trim tray. Gonna be hard to find a mason jar that tall. Lol

thanks for sharing your mouth-watering BH harvest pics.

the first three up-potted BHs ended up female

the last three to be up-potted have produced one male so far...
picture.php

...and looks like a light-green, columnar pheno. like a brother to the
light-green columnar pheno female in the first three...

the male will be used to make F2s, and to pollinate a sativa-leaning chocolate rain...

...along with a cut of double jam, and my durban (cbg) keeper cut that was accidentally
stem-snapped, but has come back to life for a second chance at getting some pollen...
