Cinderella 99 The Come Back

Shit I got is at least as strong as it should be. Elite. I been known to run a Tom Haze or two.
I guess I need to revisit some c99. The only one I've tried was a pack from mosca and it was solid c+ plant all around. Acceptable flavor, acceptable high, acceptable yield...... Unfortunately that does not equal acceptable plant. Certainly nothing worthy of what I hear c99 is capable of.

On another note. I had one pheno that started to smell like cinnamon for a few days about halfway through flowering. Then it went back to more of a sweet light citrus kinda pineapple but not quite sort of smell. Ive always wished I had harvested one during the few days it smelled like cinnamon and blast some bho with her

100% agree. I had a similar experience with Cindy 99 and wasn’t too impressed compared to what I’ve heard and read. I grew kwik seeds Cindy 99 and got 3 females all different in size one was short and way too bushy, one grew extremely tall and one was pretty close to what Cindy looks like. They all smelled different but none of them had a loud pineapple smell that is described.

The bushy one has little to no smell at all

The tall purple one has a very subtle spicy almost incense smell

The regular looking one has a generic sweet smell and a little chemically

After about a month of curing I’ve given out test samples so far to 2 people with pretty high tolerances and they just described them as ok, not bad not good. With the tall purple incense smelling one to be the best. I will give out some more samples to other people to see what they say but so far it’s not living up to its name.

I haven’t lost hope though if anyone knows where to get a better line of Cindy with more potency and up high and strong pineapple smell let me know!

No repro...yet.

I don't know if K.O.S. will be offering them in the future or not. I too, have noticed K.O.S. is out of c99 and so is James Bean seeds where K.O.S seeds have been sold for years. I've got a pack plus stored in freezer.

I've run K.O.S. original Bros. Grimm C99 F4 several times over the last few years and always intended to do a personal stash seed increase. I'm not familiar with the rotten meat pheno, but there is one called the "fig smelling" pheno, which some people might call rotten meat. It grows well, good effects, finishes under 60 days, bag appeal etc.

I have 3 small female testers in flower now (kept clones) and several others (8?) vegging in 1 gallon containers that should sex soon. Hoping to get at least one decent male and a couple of different pheno females. The lucky boy(s), if found will get to pollinate every decent girl.

If no decent male(s), but a good female or two show up, I'm strongly considering making some fems. I'm also likely to make a few crosses to try outdoors.

If this goes well, I'd estimate by Feb 2025 I might have a few spare seeds.
Yes that overripe fig pheno! Keep me posted I’d gladly pay/trade for some of those beans

The most disappointing version of C99 was the Cannalope from DNA but as I had big expectation I made seeds with 2 males and all the female. The seeds I made with the average plants produced some of the best C99 phenotypes I've grown. I don't know if I screw something during the grow with the bought seeds but I got many great keepers from my home made seeds. Most of the females were done in the 8 weeks range with a strong tropical fruit smell and taste and a great happy high, all you can expect from a decent C99.
Do you think the few flowers pollinated on each females might have play a role in the disappointing results? Each plant produced about 50 seeds each, only a small portion of each was pollinated.

Just took more clones and will probably put those small mothers (fathers?) in flower in 14 days or so as soon as I'm confident their clones are rooted and some space has opened up. Don't have an obvious male yet, although one is noticeably bigger than siblings, so maybe that's the male I'm looking for.

Will keep you posted. If things go well, I won't mind sharing.

Alot of dudes with 2 females or popped one seed. Like anything you need to pop 50 and find the best 4.. Then rerun those .

Spend big bucks on packs of beans make f2s and run 50.

Iong time ago think the old mod wayne newton made the best f2 freebies of c99 that ya scored with your boutique order. I had a long stretchy herer framed one with solid tight mango pineapple buds.

P.s you can run 50 x 1 gallons in a 4x4 hut.

This one looks like a low yielder but heavy leaning sativa. It's going on reveg just in case it's worth keeping.

The f2 ship has already sailed for me. Seeds I'm messing around with are already "original Bros. Grimm F4s" from the breeder. Not sure if I got the last of 'em, but that might be the case as the breeder and his primary seed outlet both show out of stock and have for a couple months.

Good idea on using one gallon containers, that's been my plan at this stage. One gallon should allow smoke test, nose test, etc. Doubt I'll be flowering anywhere close to 50 at a time, but I hope to methodically flower what I have, do a seed increase and go from there.

I started with 14,culled 9 and this is fastest one dry. This is from an f3 batch. I chopped a second one today and I'll put them all on reveg and keep the most potent one if it's worthy. If not I'll plant more and keep looking. I'm looking for one that has a long duration,I'm getting strong potency but only about an hour effects then it completely leaves but at least there's no burnout .

I'm sure there are LOTS of C99/Al11 F2's still around. Shirley, I'm not the only person who did open-pollinations back in the day. My step-son still runs them with good results.

Of the 3 sisters, princess, genius, and cafe-girl, I prefer the cafe-girl x WW(forget what the bro's called it). I ran a cross by sly where he back-bred the WW to .88 and my selection was called, 'big-ass bitch' or 'bacon. Pull at 9 weeks.

From personal experience, most grimm stuff should be pulled at 7 weeks to get the effects ya read about. It 'looks' done early. Let it go an extra week or 2 and it's average pot.

Those 'special' cuts were all sports, not your average plant. RD's c99 grew differently than most c99's, A11/genius can be a 'viny mess', my DTC99(cellophane cut) was 2 out of 20 and 'we' settled on the 'd' cut. After I lost her, I popped a couple or 3 packs and never found anything like her. Didn't try to breed dtc99 cause soul said he could never get that hermie trait out of her.
FYI-dtc99 was #55 and my ISS was #69. That's a LOT of beans and keeping a LOT of mothers.

I had totally forgotten Cafe Girl, she was not used as much as Princess or Genius, I can't even remember what she looks like. Is there some people who still own an authentic Cafe Girl clone?
