This is my first time growing Bangi Haze. I was wondering if someone with experience can answer a question for me. Does the male start to flower before the female. If so approximately how many weeks before the female does the male start to flower.
one more question before showing sex do the males tend to be taller with less side branching or is there any other traits that males show that may be able to identify them.
Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.
Peace GG

Hi gorilla ganja,

Males are usually taller and more columnar in all/most cannabis strains and they start to flower earlier than the females.

You can easily identify your Bangi Haze males after 3-4 weeks of life from seed, check the preflowers but don't avoid any plant if you are not sure yet about its sex.

You can post pics here and we will help you to identify them.

Greetings,

I'm growing two more Bangi Hazes this year. I thought I had an especially narrow leaved individual last year, but this year I have one that is much more so:

picture.php

It is a slow grower compared to any of the rest I have grown, but the meristem is a bit knotted up and looking like it could break loose anytime. Perhaps it just needs the right number of hours of darkness to take off. That time should be coming soon. July is usually the month with the fastest growth.

I'll post a picture of the other one I have later when I get a good picture. It is a bigger and more vigorous bush.

Once again, thanks to Dubi for providing us with these high quality genetics. I love this stuff.

Hello dubi, here is a pic of one of my Bangis. They are a little over 8 weeks old. The first 4 weeks they were indoors under very low light. As of my last visit none were showing preflowers. I am hoping on next visit they will be showing sex.

Very nice ThaiBliss, am I correct in remembering that you don't top? When did you germinate them? And one last question, about how tall are they? It is always hard to tell from a pic.

Hey G.G.,

No, I don't top my plants. I germinated them in early March. The big bushy one is about 5 feet tall. The skinny leaved one is only about 3 or 4 foot tall.

hello, i live at 45.5 n in Oregon and as of July we can grow 4 plants in our backyard. 5 Ace Bangi Haze seeds found there way over here and all sprouted. 2 are male and 2 are female ( one died as a result of user error)
of the 2 females 1 was the tallest of the batch and the other was the smallest .
wondering if I should plant both?

Thank You Everyone

update: planted both plants, the big one is over 7ft tall and the small one is just under 5ft tall. Question, should I stake these or cage them?

Greetings Bangi Haze Lovers,

My big bushy Bangi Haze turned out to be male. But I still have this one:

It is over 7 feet tall now, but does not look like a big producer like all the rest were. I love it for how full on Sativa it looks. I love this weed, and I love this skinny mini tall Bangi Haze. Looks like a very good ganja plant!

Is Bangi really so resistant to rain and humid areas??? My guerilla garden is very humid(marsh land not swamp) in the summer and autumn especially morning. And what to choose regular or fem? Is there difference between?
I'm 46°N EU...under the Alps...altitude 298 m (623 ft)

Bangi is only available in reg, a fem version will be out for next season said Dubi.
I live very near you and I think BH would be a good option for growing here, along with nepalJam. Maybe Konopenko could give you more info because he grew both I think.

Do you primarily need a high resistent strain or a clear high?

they will be on my list as well. the only reason they havent been so far is bc i dont grow reg seeds guerilla style. im looking forward to seeing how this legendary strain does with my 100% humidity during full flower :woohoo:
