Autoflowering lines based on Auto Zamaldelica

Here is another line of mine based on Auto Zamaldelica. Golden Tiger 80% (GT 80). I had 36 F2 plants at the beginning. So far I have found two safe female and one sure male autoflowering. I'm not sure if two more are female or male and two more seem to be dominant male hermaphrodites that I have to sort out. The automatic ones grow indoors, some (probably) semi-automatic are flowering outdoors in the forest glade. There are some quite sativa dominant plants, some of them (despite not very bright lighting and small pots) good branched and also a rather large one with long internodes.

here the hopefully fast GT 80 (F2) version (semi autoflowering) outdoors. Four plants, also young +/- 30 days from seed.

GT 80 outdoors height gain can currently reach 20-30cm per week. I'm hoping for late July/early August to start blooming so that the buds will mature in mid October rather than late October or early November. Plants 4 and 5 are already showing pre-flowers and may be fully automatic after all. These two have the most exotic look vegetatively. Hope these two will also develop in a Thai dominant direction when flowering. For me, the rest are more in the Malawi direction. I hope to have sorted out plants with high ruderalis content. I need to get to know GT 80 better.

Awesome projects you have going here @paisajedehierba!

I've been on the same quest for almost 10 years now and still not there yet. Although I do believe it can be done, it just takes a lot of time, dedication and thoroughness aka. passion.

With an early sativa line (UEL) and NLDauto lines ready to use, I realized now it was time to focus fully on first finding a few ultimate sativa highs in a NLD.
Only after that I can start the process of getting that high into a short flowering cycle.

So in short: I will use pollen from the early/auto side on the selected 'personal grail' NLD side, preferably even after selfing and selecting that hightype again in the S1's

If I use pollen from a male NLD there is too much chance he does not have what I am looking for.

Hi Arnold, it's great that you're revealing your perspective on growing automatic flowering cannabis(y). Go on with your "autoflowering project"!
After a few failed attempts with Muay Thai fem. (Flashseeds) and Zamaldelica standart (because of a strong tendency to hermaphrodite) to breed automatically flowering Sativa strains, I started to focus on the first step of "automation". Auto Zamaldelica clearly helped with this. With the crossing of Golden Tiger 3rd Thai dominant version came the desired sexual stability in an "own" Thai influenced line even in F3 and F4. But I hadn't selected well against ruderalis properties. This is what I try to aquire now (except for automatic flowering) with GT 80 (F2). I guess, in finished product I will find both Malawi and Thai dominant flowers. Also a good mixture of both is possible. Much to discover.
Could be that I continue to hybridize automatic strains until I find the mix that makes me happy. On the other hand, I would miss breeding very much. Growing and breeding make me more addicted than smoking weed.

GT 80 (F2) ... After weeks of extreme drought and high temperatures, the last few days have been cool (19°C / 12°C), windy and rainy. A fairly narrow-leaved lady is actually autoflowering. Height today 80cm. The branching takes off a litte bit better... growth weather and early flowering stretch. She was germinated a few days later than the rest of the plants thriving outdoors (round about days 40, the older plants 43-45 days from seed). My guess if the semi auto plants are male or female is written in the respective caption. Maybe I´m wrong. I´ll upload pictures of the second (probably) autoflowering girl next time. It could be that images at IC MAG are sorted by save date and are not displayed in the actually copied deer sequence. Unfortunately, this impairs the interpretation of images.

Hello everyone, I'm from Alaska, and I love this tropical sativa auto project your doing..
I also am on an Outdoor Northern Auto Sativa Quest. Except my 65° noth latitude only allows for about 90 days of growable weather, with lots of foggy rainy days.. So breeding a pure tropical sativa auto flower can be very challenging. So I decided I needed to breed. hardier sativa into tropical sativa genetics. I focus on mostly pure landrace type of genetics, but not completely.
In order to breed auto flowers , I needed to aquire an auto flower male with landrace hardy genetics. I decided the Best weather hardiest sativa's were from the Eastern Himalayan mountains like Nepal and Northern India But finding seed banks that sale non feminized auto seeds is quite difficult. After endless searching I settled on pure India Genetics From Flash Seeds called Holy Man. It's a mix of several local strains from India. That gave me the male stud I needed to get into the auto flower game. After that I bred "Holy Man" to Flash Seeds "Nirvana Sky" which is a Nepal Landrace auto flower. This cross of India and Nepal genetics created the "Holy Sky" Sativa I needed for the male half of my Northern Sativa Auto project.
This years (2023 season) I have bred my "Holy Sky" stud to Muay Thai Auto, Wild Thailand Ryder and Zamaldelica Auto.

Where are you located?
And do you have mold problems with your outdoor growing?
Hi, I'm at 49N in europe. You have exciting autoflowering projects going on. I was also considering integrating Stitch "Holy man" into my breeding attempts, but then decided on Auto Zamaldelica, which has proven itself. I haven't had any mold problems so far. Wet summers mean lots of snails in my area.

This is my first year growing Zamaldelica Auto. And yes, I also am impressed with her. She grows fast with nice big buds and she really does have a very unique carrot smell like nothing I've smelled before.and she has a great open sativa structure to allow for good air flow. I had one tiny spot of mold but scratched it off and rubbed it down with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and she's fine now. But I still haven't smoked any yet I'll harvest her soon.

But this year is my first year to do what you did and breed a non auto into full auto.
My goal is to basically make a similar version of the Reefer Mans award winning sativa named Willie Nelson. It is a Nepal Sativa crossed with Vietnam Black.
My "Holy Sky" Nepal leaning pheno stud will be perfect for the auto Nepal side of my Willie Nelson remake. But the Vietnam Black is extinct as far as I know.
But I have managed to aquire seeds from the sister to the Vietnam Black called the "Hoa Bac" (Vietnam Silver Leaf). This will have to work as a substitute.
I made the F1 cross a couple weeks ago so I have at least another month before i will get seeds.
After I get a decent version of my Willie Nelson remake I intend to breed the F3 back to the non auto "Hoa Bac" and create the remake of the "Black Willie" . Which is 25% Nepal Sativa and 75% Vietnam.Sativa.
That should keep just enough Nepal in the mix to be an Alaska Hardy outdoor and just enough Vietnam to maintain the super exotic out of this world south east Asian High

Good luck with your auto breeding project Odiferous Menace. The nepalease side of the cross should give some resistance to cold, mold and mildew.
My GT 80 plants outside are still experiencing "powdery mildew conditions". It rains for several hours a day, again and again larger amounts. Dry weather phases are only a few hours long. Luckily, they are only at the very beginning of the flowering phase. The increase in size is quite good. The Thai locking automatic flowering plant (day 47 from seed) just passed the 1 meter mark (105cm/41.33 inch). The ohter thai locking plant (also day 47 from seed) seems to be something in between auto and semi auto or just come into bloom a little later (115cm/45,3 inch). The seemingly more Malawi leaning, clearly semi autoflowering ones have reached 145-160cm/57,1-63,0 inch (day 50-52 from seed). GT 80 pictures are from today (2023-08-02).

I grew quite a few Wild Thailand Ryders and although they are pretty nice auto's they do not give something I would consider a sativa high.

I have heard good things about auto Euphoria but did not grow it myself.
A variety that I have experience with and did produce a pretty euphoric high is Dart by Da'Bean co. The after high is not how I like my sativa's, but the effect is really nice.

I can sent some beans of that for next season if you like. Did not cross this one out to a good NLD, but will shortly.

Hello farmerlion, Your greenhouse grow is very entertaining and also insightful. I wish I had a greenhouse too. Still, I love my guerrilla garden. It is a bit more "dangerous" but also exciting and instructive.

I would appreciate some pictures of your F1 autoflowering crosses in this thread. Auto Zamaledelica also plays a role here. I'm also toying with the idea of an autoflowering "Nepal cross" using Nepal Annapurna and GT 80.

Hello Arnold, thanks for your offer. But I wouldn't find the time or space to test your seeds. I pollinated a Wild Thailand Ryder plant indoors last winter with GT 80 F1. Here are two pictures of the a single plant of the outcome (the plant at the front of the overview image). It hasn´t show sex clear jet and looks very similar to GT 80.
The flowers I harvested of Wild Thailand Ryder are rock hard got slightly purple. So I'm cautiously assuming there's also a skunk or some indica lineage involved. This is really just a test. With two autoflowering lines or two ruderalis lines in a hybrid, the probability of finding a ruderalis chemotype is too great for my taste.
I'm continuing to breed what I started with: autoflowering lines based on Auto Zamaldelica.

Famerlion, sorry for answering two times to your post (see above) ... which of your autoflowering crosses can be seen in your pictures? I guess the autoflowering girl is the Highland Nepalease Grape (?) ... and the male?

Hey everyone.
Hope everyone's grows are going good.
Paisajedehierba, Nice to see your progress. Looking good!
Farmerlion, your Highland Nepalese Grape × Auto Zamaldelica is very interesting. That sounds like good genetics for Northern Growers (like me).
I just harvest my Auto Zamaldelica, a couple days ago. She did really well at my 65° north latitude. I said to myself that her crystals were just swollen enough to harvest but I probably want to wait another couple days to harvest. But then I noticed a few little spots of mold forming on a few different branches. Nothing to terrible but I decided to harvest instead of waiting.
Things are a little crazy around the homestead this week.
We have a raging forest fire that is coming my way and threatening my subdivision.
The top half of my subdivision has already been evacuated and the people are now refugees.
The authorities have put my house on notice for evacuation. So I've been busy packing my possessions, and preparing my goats and pigs for an emergency move to a safer area.
If I have to leave in a hurry I'll have to put all my pot plants in a metal shipping container to keep the from the fire. I'll leave them with fluorescent lighting, but if the power goes out, the plants may be left in the dark until after the fire moves though. So this fire could be bad for my pot growing (and my house)
Several plants could be harvested now if need be. But my Nepal leaning Holy Sky's and the Muay Thai's are super auto's and take forever to grow...
One of the strain crosses I made this summer was a freebie Seedsman Auto Amnesia crossed to a freebie Seedsman Auto Critical+2.0 = Critical Amnesia.
But I think because of the forest fire I'll call the new cross
(Critical Amnesia Evacuation Edition)
Seems appropriate. ☺️
