Franco, I did some searching on the SH as it's interested me since you brought it out (hmmmmmmm strawberry's :yummy: :D) and found a post by Reef over on his site saying "The feminized strawberry haze is the newyork strawberry cough plant selfed its very nice indeed !"

Is that true?

I'm not stiring just trying to get some more info.

not again with the whole stuffing it in boxes crap! we've been through all this in the interducing franco.gh thread. there are reasons for doing things some times, that you might not be aware of.

Yeah, the Reason is Called Greed!!!! If I am breeding Cannabis, Dogs, Fish or Whatever I will do so with the Proper Care and Love thats needed...Only Money and Greed will cause you to take shortcuts and thats when the Abuse starts...It funny when people say they have So much love for Cannabis and then you see them swinging the buds around laughing and prying the buds apart with their fingers while the plant is still growin and then Shovin them all in carboard boxes to dry..LOL....Is this what you call love for the plant????.....Open up your eyes bro....Its all done for the Love of Money...Think about it....

If they like doing that thats fine....I was just Kinda surprised to see that....I know a few commercial growers here in cali that grow with several thousand watts and they take pride in what they do and they treat all their ladies like Queens...These are the real "Kings of Cannabis" ~ograskal

Very well put Raskal!
I too was blown away by the handling of these plants in question...Especially the way they were crammed into boxes as though it were some extra hardy vegtable..

I also agree that we are not here to treat people in a negative manner..I apoligize for being negative towards Franco in another thread....
What people have to understand is that many of us have grown Greenhouse seeds over the last couple of years with truly poor results....Where the same strain produced kickass results some years earlier....I am 1 of these people that have had horrible results after paying a lot of money for these seeds...
There has been no way to contact anyone within' the Greenhouse seed part of their buisness, believe me I have tried!!!Emails to the website always went unanswered...I also think the cocky attitude has rubbed a few the wrong way..
Now they have a helpdesk here and people are just venting....They/we have been waiting to finally be able to discuss our problems and maybe we are taking it out on Franco because he is the one here from Greenhouse...
It might not be right but noone is perfect, thats a fact!

My apoligies Franco and maybe we can address some of these problems in the near future......
Take care all..........................................CC

what about security issues? ever thought about what it's like to be in a ware house that is stinking to high heaven despite huge ventilations and filter? until you know what it can be like pulling down the plants in such a place when the neighbors have just complained about the strong cannabis smell?

i can see Capt.Crip's point about the gh seeds and no help desk etc. but the boxes are in no way unusual. you can not trim in the same place that you grow.

Hey Gaius....You were the one that came on this thread complaining asking Franco why his Ultra Haze samples Had NO TRICHOMES and No taste....I beleive you even said that there waSNT a single Trichome in sight on the bud....Do you remember...If seeing that video doesnt answer your question then Oh well....~ograskal

Man, we are not talking about orchids here! It's just WEED! And it's called WEED because it's a WEED! It just grows, strong and fast, and when I harvest it I just harvest it! The love and passion that I put into growing it comes back in the form of quality, flavor and potency. The rest (treating weed plants like they were some sort of super-delicate extinct jungle flower is a bit exaggerated to me...... )
But hey, that is my modest opinion.
Years ago, when I was growing a few plants for myself and few friends, I also used to be very delicate and treat every bud like it was the last one on earth. But now I manage a really BIG cannabis enterprise, and I realized that what counts is to produce QUALITY and QUANTITY, and FAST please..... the customers are waiting!

Sorry man, but weed is a weed. Just because it's illegal, it doesn't mean we have to treat it different that any other plant. I respect my weed plants at the same way I respect my raspberries and blueberries in the garden, or my wonderful salvia, or my peyote, san pedros and other cacti.
In sum: I respect all plants.

Apologies accepted, discussion is food for the mind, and if we all had the same opinion life would be damn boring....

Concerning bad results with Green House seeds: I am responsible for the production of seeds released starting 2004. Any problem with seeds you got after 2004 is my responsibility and I will be very interested in talking about it. This way I can try to improve the product, and myself.
If you refer to problems with seeds before 2004, I can try to help but I will not be able to know the exact situation and production details. This is because between 2001 and 2003 I was working at SIMM (Institute for Medicinal Marijuana), and not at Green House.

you are mixing up threads, i came on this thread with a compliment for the strawberry haze. but yes i did find the ultra haze a disappointment. but if you think it was because of the boxes, then sorry but you are wrong, boxing the buds for transport and touching one or two colas will not change the quality of the whole harvest to such an extent. you might lose a few of the riper trichome heads, but the overall quality is not noticeably effected. certainly not enough to change a good strain into an average strain.

anyway, this thread is about the strawberry haze, not the ultra haze.

why does everyone bad mouth franco so harshly? he seems like the nicest guy in the world.

the comments almost sound politically motivated from the guys calling francogh names.

Hey Franco, sorry it's me again. Can you give us some info on the parentage of the SH?

The ASH comes from a Swiss sativa crossed with the NL5hazeMist. The Swiss sativa was a very special plant, called by some people "fragolina" (Italian for small strawberry). The NL5haze Mist is the old NL5 (Sensi) crossed with Haze and Kalimist.
Arjan's Strawberry Haze was developed during 1990-2000 (crossing and selection of outstanding mother individual), and finished during the 2001-2003 period (backcrossing selected fast flowering fathers from F1-F2-F3-F4-F5 and bringing them back on the original mother). Seed (feminized) were produced in 2005 from selected mother and commercialized in December 2005-January 2006.
