Hello all,

I'm just a beginner grower, and even my buds aren't black sooty ash, the ash is pretty damn light in color, and I find that it tastes just fine. Anybody who has black sooty ash, chem or not, obviously has no clue. Just because somebody grows organic, doesn't mean that they have more skill.

:joint:

I never mentioned skill. And this is true that organics does not make you a better grower. It just makes yoru buds better then poo poo.

Actually you guys are the ones that are growing with poopoo, lol. Though I have been known to purchase a bag of earthworm castings myself and some of the stuff I use has bat guano in it I believe.

What about human excrements? I see that a few crazy people pee in their soil, has anybody ever taken a dump in their garden ? If somebody really wants to be organic and in tune with nature, then they shouldn't be taking the poo of poor worms and bats, they should use their own poo.

Naw...heavy metals, Greenie. And pathogens. And smell. At least urine is sterile.

I'm glad to know that human feces won't work, but using urine still seems pretty far out there in my opinion.

If you use urine in your garden, you can always do a water cure on the buds. Just boil the piss out of them!

I agree. :joint:

And hey, let's take this to 50 pages! I'm sure it'll stay perfectly civil.

I felt a shudder in the force. Closing my eyes, it lead me to this...an agreement. Y'all have to stop this. It's unhealthy. Think of the children!

You guys ever see that episode of Penn & Tellers BullSh*t! where they do organics?

They have people blind test organic food and chemically grown food.
The people would choose the chemically grown food as better tasting and say it had more flavor.
The whole episode was pretty good.
I think organic peeps should check it out.
Especially Jason King!

Ugh, facepalm.
It sucks to see people like the OP getting the impression he/she posted about.

I like sustainable organics because they're better for our environment & better for my health.
For people like myself who try to keep the environment in mind it's tough to see people who don't care at all, or even less than we do.
All you can do is try to see if they're interested in or if they know about organics, and help them make the decision.

It's understandable that this could come across in the wrong way or be taken as such...but please don't think all organic growers are some religious cult...
It's challenging - really, really challenging, to not offend people on this topic when you're trying to tell them why do you it.
Almost nobody wants to offend anyone, nobody wants to come across as a pompous asshole....don't forget!

I just base my growing practices on what's best for my plants & what's good for the environment,
I want to help others go more sustainable, not to force people against their will or call them stupid, etc.
Most of us aren't mean, and most of us just want what we think is best, it's only human to want that.

I agree that organic people can be snobs, but I agree with them. Humans have been eating crops grown by artificial ferts for a relatively short amount of time. After WW2 we had a bunch of nitrogen left over from the bomb making efforts. Farmers has an "aha" moment and realized that crops love N. Since 1945 to now, there has been an explosion in cancer. Is there a connection to petro based ferts? Who knows? I see organic folks in a positive light. Why take any unneeeded risk.

If a molecule is not in it's basic natural form, it cannot be used by a growing plant. Period. Doesn't matter if it if the N came from manure or CAN 17 made by Occidental Petroleum. The plant (and you either by eating or smoking the finished product) cannot tell the difference. Nor can your body. This "Organics is healthier" thing is just dumb to the extreme.

Now that said, I do like tampering with the organic mantra of feeding the soil and not the plant. It just makes sense.

But the answer to the underlying question is YES. Some, if not most, Organic people's attitude is akin to a religion. Thinking neem oil is safer then a synthetic pesticide, just because it came from the neem tree is just stupid thinking.

But if it makes 'em feel better I don't really care as long as they don't try to sell me their bullshit. I've been farming too long not to know better.

The "explosion" in cancer can also be explained by advances in medical science that have allowed doctors to find cancer early on before it becomes a problem. It's all based on perspective. Nobody talked about cancer before 1945 because they didn't even really know what it was, or how to test for it in the human body.

There is a tone of "I'm better than you are" in the organic circle. My man asked a question before about going from tea to chem and ohhhhh my god did the freaks come out of the woodwork. But, like one of our best breeders said....they throw their granola bar wrappers in the trash and point a finger at you for "killing everything!!!" Some of those organic soil people are nothing more than hypocritcal pieces of trash....their attitudes alone pollute more than my chems do.

I'm better than some of those people are in some other way of conservation, I'm sure...so suck it. Extremists always fuck their own cause up by acting like crazy people and pointing fingers for this and that...when they're no better as a whole. Unless you live in a shack, use no power and grow your own food....you're no better than anyone.

Oh yeah...and the crazy ones....don't breed, the world's overpopulated already and our resources are precious....so don't be hypocrites.

I like organics for the simple fact that it puts less shit in me...

I already do enough damage on my own.:xmasnut:
