>>> Siberian Tigers will move down from the north

Is that another term for storm ?
No. We get a 3 month ice age comes from the north each year. People will bitch about how cold it is while the puddles are still liquid. Then buy arctic hats and moan it's too hot. That the weather should decide what it's doing. We have no fear of actual tigers. Its more a brass monkeys situation. Some years we do get the beast from the east though. A weather front coming out from Russia over Germany, which can reach the UK bringing the hope the rain may turn to snow. Just for a change.

First frost date here is the 23rd. Having a frost sensitive plant out past this date is relying on favourable conditions. Just 10.5h light left now. You can expect mist over the dawn fields, and wet grass till late morning. With mould our biggest enemy, rain covers would be nice by mid September. Not at the cost of raised RH though. So there is little heat gain to be had.

The UK gorillas need plants that are finished by now. Making the semi auto's of Real Gorilla Seeds so popular. Finishing before domestic trees drop their leaves. Which starts off mould season

Excellent point on the covering of plants. It may keep the rain off but the added RH is probably just as bad.
There comes a point when mold spread just makes diminishing returns and it is time to chop.

For the next 7 days, the Meteorological Agency forecasts for my area (northern slope of Sierra Morena, 39° N, more than 800 metres above sea level, and about 400 km from the sea) maximum temperatures between 25 and 31 °C (77-88 °F) and minimum night temperatures12 °C (54 °F), and humidity, very variable depending on the day, between 20 and 85%.
A pomegranate of even larger calibre than the one in the previous photos, but too high to observe it better:

Los perros disfrutan por fin sin el aplastante y aplantanante calor del verano. Estos 2 machos se han echo muy amigos, y no paran de jugar.Tenía miedo, al principio, cuando acogí al pequeño ratonero-bodeguero, pues la madre ni siquiera había tenido tiempo de inhibirle la mordida, y mis perros tienen mucho carácter...pero jamás pensaba que el pastor alemán de trabajo del Este, le iba a tolerar tanto...

The dogs are finally enjoying themselves without the crushing summer heat. I was afraid at first when I took in the little rattle-bulldog, as the mother hadn't even had time to inhibit his bite, and my dogs have a temper...but I never thought that the East working German Shepherd would tolerate him so much...

last plant standing. it has a plastic label identifying it buried in its hole that has to be dug out to identify it, but it's so late, i didn't clone it, even thou it's still mold free.

I have harvested plants and left a couple tiny nodes on the bottom, then dug up the rootball and successfully revegged them several times in the past. As long as you have a growing tip it will come back.

Great outdoors i took a bunch of clones of moldproof plants that finished in September and early October, that's about as long as a decent finishing plant can go most years here, this year [all thou WET] has been a longer than average season, some plant clones have already been eliminated after a smoke test. some still rooting!
