I decided to harvest the Afghans early today after checking the weather forecast. Buds are pretty fat and I don't think they can handle 2 days of heavy rain. Oh well, overall I'm satisfied with how they turned out. There's more to the right hanging in the closet. Once dry, they'll go into 5 gallon buckets to cure and I'll use most of it for making hash this winter.

Alien OG - harvest time:

Cherry Pie - week or so to go:

Strawberry Cough - week or so to go:

Those don't look ready for harvest to me, they look like they have a lot longer to go....That Strawberry Cough specifically absolutely does not look like it will be ready in a week, it looks like it is still in the early/middle stages of flowering. I'd say it has at least 3 more weeks before it is ready.

The top of that flower of the Strawberry Cough is still pushing out totally new pistils and hasn't swelled up much at all, it has a lot longer to go before it is ready.

Yes - it would be nice if Strawberry Cough makes it another 3 weeks - I'd like to see a bud swell. But, it's been a weird outdoor season for her - I really put her through a torture chamber with not enough food early on and the ph being off - I know she isn't going to turn out as good as a properly dialed in indoor grow would make her. Same with Alien OG. I don't mind letting the ambers proliferate on the Alien OG, but I'm not sure Strawberry Cough will turn out well that way - and, she might not swell at all - considering the rough grow. Cherry Pie had a better grow of it - I'll let her go as long as I can - since she's predominantly indica, I'm ok with a good 15% ambers or so.

It's day by day for the damaged branches.

They are about 1/3 wilted from the windy day when the stalks got damaged.

Most of the buds are still green, but with wilted leaves.

A few of those buds are less green, and I'm staring at them wondering if they're putting on any resin.

Doing the Morning Mold check with the flashlight and the reading glasses.

Romberry or Blueberry Headband.
More pics from this morning's visit to the plants.

The wilted ones, I examine daily for mold.
I want to see if they put on more trich's.

I know "in the old days", people talked about pinching their stems etc. to improve something about flowering.

Not sure if these 2 are still putting on the Trichs.
A week after their branch got broke - a Week in the Sun part time -
they're still trucking ... sort of.

Romberry or Blueberry Headband.

This last one is Cookies. Her stem is OK but she looks DONE.
A few days of rainy weather and then a week of part time sun.
Might harvest her before the ones with the damaged stem.
