Anything outdoors 2020

The first big storm off the Pacific hit. Both yesterday and today the torrential rain stopped in the afternoon, allowing me to go crazy with the twine and green stretchy tape. I had quite a bit to repair. One plant exploded, not much left of her.

picture.php

Notice all the green stretchy tape, twine, and stakes that failed to prevent the mayhem. Even so I feel like I've gotten better at damage control. When a big storm happens your plants are going to get fucked up, if you know what you're doing you can prepare and minimize the damage. Guess which way is east in this next picture. That's the direction the wind blows..

picture.php

I should do some before, after, and after repair pictures. The grey mold isn't too bad, at least not yet. It's all right when the plants get flattened, nothing that can't be repaired.

picture.php

Now we'll do a before.

picture.php

This is after.

It's damage control. I'll get nice ganja off the plant, it'll recover. It'll never be the same.

(edit) notice the plant in front of the damaged plant in the before picture? I think it went to the great grow house in the sky.

I wish they were a bit earlier but i cant really grumble.
Chopped one this morning that looked the furthest into flower, left the others to mature a little more, probably give them another 7-10 days weather permiting.

The plant didn't really get blown to the campground beyond the sun, it got knocked over and soaked down.

It's the plant with the worst boytritis I've seen. It's still early though, a lot of the damage has enough time to recover. We'll have temperatures in the high 70s F this week which will help. The black cherry garlic was the 2nd slowest to flower and took the least damage. I was amazed, it barely had a leaf ruffled.

The Royal Kush x 5 G Blue looks good, no boytritis issues yet. A couple branches on it's back side were bent over and one was hammered by a branch from another plant. It looks good although waterlogged. I'm praying the boytritis holds off long enough for it to ripen.

I pulled a few tops from the 88g13hp right before the storm even though it wasn't finished. I could tell they'd get knocked around and rot if I didn't. It's a shame, another week of sun and they'd get even chunkier. They smell ridiculously good, my room reeks.

The plant itself looks good, no wind damage. I tied every limb I could reach and redistributed the weight with my pruning. I'm going to inspect her for mold today.

chopped the berry white today, a little early, but it's supposed to rain for 6 days, a few tiny spots of mold, actually 4 spots [ i counted] lol. i have a few clones of it, so next year i'll let a couple out late to see how it does. we had lots of 2 - 4 degree Celsius nights and a few light frosts and no shortage of rain during the last 2 weeks.

Havent been to this Bramble plot for the past 6 weeks+
These are all Polar Dane f2 hybrids, found a nice little purple pheno and chopped the furthest one into flower.
Will leave these as long as possible to mature,no signs of mold or mildew at the moment.
