it is very hot here on the Desert Planet.

good for the plants if they have enough water :rtfo:

Down in the Pit is a Romberry / Purple Trainwreck / Apollo 11 cross (thank you Subcool ! ! ! ) on the right

and a Cookie (Candyland x Phantom Cookies) x Apollo 11 (father) cross, on the left.

They were getting morning light but not enough afternoon light.

So I carried The Ladder up The Hill, and got busy with the saw. And the Lopper.

Now they get a little more 3 PM light.

The plants are in a pit 5 or 6 feet deep, which slows down the deer a little bit.

The last pic is the last 5 Blueberry Headband cross seedlings.

2 are un-declared. 2 are male, 1 is female. Very conveniently, the female is in the back and is a little smaller, so if the deer come by and do some grazing, they will hopefully just nibble on the males. :yay:

Since I'm feeling lazy, that saves me from making a deer fence !

Some animal is going crazy on the wet dirt. They love digging or chewing around the edge of the puddle area where I water the plants. I make a depression in the dirt, enough for a pint of water. It's a wet section of G&B soil mix, some animal finds that very tasty.

But they seem to prefer wet dirt over tiny pot plants (knock on wood).

well for some reason icmag will not allow me to post pics, it says i have exceeded my allotted amount. i will try again later, but will still post a video sometime, like now! i took a vid of the 'seaweed' spot, i ran out of water there [which has never happened in 8 years] and was using slow release fert that needed rain to work well, which never came, so the plants suffered. https://youtu.be/gspLoDIP9Hw

they look good in the video.

what nutes does seaweed give to the plants ?

I have about 50 pounds of dried kelp or something in the garage.

I collected it back in 2011 when Fukushima was doing its thing and it sounded like we might all benefit from a little extra iodine.

Seaweed has Plant Growth Regulator hormones
(PGRs). Nodosum kelp has the most but I think there's a moratorium on the harvest. Taking too much and it's not regenerating fast enough. I use this stuff.

Not the same but it can't hurt.

@ st phatty, i use a little seaweed in my holes, in some spots i use it as a mix in mulch to help keep things moist. but not too much as it tends to mat. i call it my sea weed spot because it's about 200 feet from the atlantic ocean. it's cooled off here a bit and the rain is regular now, i decided to harvest some autos yesterday before the two days of rain coming. the video starts with the 5 boreal lights and ends with the boreal cloud. the big purple autos are auto euphoria x ssh auto x [fire99 auto x guerilla gold #3]https://youtu.be/KJc1t1FhNeU

Motor Breath x Grandpa's Breath. It's from Dungeon's Vault. Basically an OG with some extra complexity via GDP and Chem D. Sedative and relaxing with high potency. I actually made the cross for indoor use but want to see if it will finish appropriately outside here.

Still not sure what to make of this one. Supplements have been tried.
Recessive genes I guess.
