The plants are loving this heat wave, soaking up almost 3gal a day. Maxi bloom at 1.5 tsp per gallon. 3 plants are over 6.5ft with the buckets, 2 more are about 5.5ft an the runt is maybe 4ft with the bucket. They are getting wide too. Basically have 3 full size Christmas 🎄. I don't want to flood the thread with pics, so I'll give them a week might be over 8ft by then 😍

Looks like the Nepali has a virus. Do its leaves have some irregular areas with no green chlorophyll? Thanks for sharing.

Just do it!

You still got 9 days of july and full august. I don't know how its's in your region but we in germany had nice sunny septembers around 20 degrees in the last years. Even in october sometimes. Thank you climate change. 🤪

When you do it in pots, don't forget to start from seed in the final pot for the best result.

Yeah, but it's an Automatic and you nearly have 10 weeks till harvest. C'mon, it's only one seed, what do you have to loose for one (probably)small plant.!? :) 🤷‍♂️

Here's my girls this year so far. Gruntz, Bubba Kush, Blackjack, Devil Spit, Commando, Cookie OG, and Gelato 38 or 44 or something. That's in order from left to right. Bubba is the only seed, rest are clones. Shifty soil, not too bad but next year it will be perfect organic. This has half organic, a quarter topsoil, and a quarter humus in the 200 gal pots. The 20 gal pots are 707 and I use biothrive and cal mag. I used alpaca fertilizer tea last week. I top dressed with biolive and diatomaceous earth. And alpaca manure, and some worm compost.

BTW, this is my second season and it is about 100 degrees right now, I feed them biothrive and cal mag by GH, next day I water my plants 10 percent of the container volume, then I give it a day off before I start over again. The fact that the larger pots have a quarter top soil is not right, as I have learned, so I don't know if that affects how I should be watering and I'm not sure about the heat right now and how that affects how I water either.

Thats pretty hot, we had a 94 degree day yesterday. I would think the guidelines are about the same. Water to the depth of the root system. I water about 750 gal of native soil for my plot if I consider the roots going 1 foot deep. I watered 75 gal and that was about right. Important things are water deep, to depth of root, and water infrequently to give it dry cycles to allow the roots to have plenty of air and grow to find moisture.

Actually its more like 1112 gal now! That was an old figure from a 10x10 plot. It takes a long time to get the water to soak in. Mulch will help water infiltration. Early on you can work the soil lightly to a depth of 1/2 inch, but do that early on in June because now we need those stabilizing roots all set up to keep the plants upright. :smoke:

Those plants look absolutely beautiful! I bet they will get really big in the ground like that.. Do you live in a humid area? Where I live it is incredibly dry during the summer/fire season. The ground has foxtail weeds and really rocky clay soil.. How do you know when you need to water?

What kind of mulch do you like to use?
