just curious to see and hear if anyone has tried ODOR-SOK
http://www.odorsok.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

carbon filter attach direct to your exhaust ,for an ODOR-SOK to do 3>4 ,600watt cost is about 60 euro and weighs in at around 3kgs. with internal framing > Odor Sok’s patented Bag Support System or BSS

i am not using it ,but would like to only if it works ,the shop assistant claimed it to be just as efficient as a conventional carbon filter ,only with this one you can roll it up and travel on without arousing unwanted attention from curious onlookers in your apartment!!

Yeah, I asked the same question a day or two back. If they are good I'm definitely going to use one of the 5" jobs in my growbox. We may be better PMing the guys who have them directly.

the 2 shops near me have just got em in, but they are pretty much the same price as normal carbon filters, sothats one half of their selling point outta the indow already.... The lightweight nature of them is still interesting though and i am going to get one for my veg box and try it out, ill let folks know how it is...

I have one Ill be testing in flower here in a few weeks... have not tried it myself yet

I have seen them work at my local hydro shop, seemed to work well... they break one of those little ampules that has the crap that smells like rotten eggs and gross you out with the smell the cranked up the inline with the odor sok on it it pulled the smell out fast.

this is what they used to make the smell

well the shops by me are charging`55 pounds for the 5 inch one, basically the same price as a`normal 5 inch filter if you go to the right shop, but if they are as good as they are made out then the equal price is easily made up for by the light weight, i couldnt believe it when i got one in my hand in the shop. for things like the diy growtent kits from growell that sell u the square plastic extruded frame and poly sheeting-this is ideal for those kinda things.

They have no prefilter and if you're in a dusty environment you'll have to take it off, wash it, tumble dry and reinstall...or install a prefilter of some sort. Where I'm at it's necessary to wash the prefilter at least every 6 months and more like 4 in the Summer. I've priced them out and they are a good amount cheaper than a similar cfm size can type scrubber.

I went with the odor sok for my mini because its so much lighter then my can 33. I don't think the hydro hut would be able to support the weight of the 33

I am planning on buying the 6" model soon. It's $70 at 4hydroponics.com

Hopefully it works well because they are fairly new and I've heard only a few 1st hand accounts.

i had an email from the uk distributors yesterday, id been checking out prices and asking when more sizes would be avaliable here, anyway he said they are comaprable to the cheaper carbon filters that last around 9 months, as opposed to something like a fat or a mountain air which can last a couple of years, ive found the 5 inch for 41 pounds now so the price is ok if you look around... nowhere over here seems to have the 4 inch though which is what i really want for my little veg/start box...

I just went to order a filter and the 3 smallest sizes...directly from on Odor Sok website are SOLD OUT. That's gotta say something...doesn't it??? But that's the .net (Canada?) and not the .com as the .com seems to be for Odor Sok distributors.

dont waste your money I'm in mid flower and the sock isnt helping much. Im about ready to hook my can33 back up
I gotta ask...what is your exhaust fan rated at? I'd liked to know how close you are to the rated cfm of the Sok as compared to the Can filter...and which Sok did you get?

Thanx...

a pal works at a growshop he says the 6" works but the 8 and 10 struggle with the airflow and dont work well .
