I hadn't heard this one before. :) This is a good description of what a DMT trip is like. It's not exactly the same for everyone, but this is a better accounting of the details than anything I've said or written.

The Thirteenth Floor Elevators have a song called Fire Engine, with the line, "Let me take you to the empty place in my mind". Some people say what they're really saying is, "Let me take you D-M-T place in my mind".

That song is really trippy, with demented vocals and electric jug, wow.

Ugh salvia is so........ I don't remember my DMT launch. I want to go back. Even though I don't remember hardly anything about the experience I know it was overwhelmingly beautiful.

Fucking salvia, remember right after coventry a friends buddy owned a head shop and just had 30x concentrate, he packed a gram in a big bowl and gave it to me.

I tried to smoke as much as I could in one hit.

Never made that mistake again.

In terms of doses, 20 mg is life changing. Probably too much for a first time user, unless you have a lot of experience with psychedelics and you know exactly what you're getting into

It's probably too much even then. Worst case scenario, death by astonishment. As Terence McKenna put it. One toke and you'll spend what seems like eternity in a different place. Check your watch before and after, and it's only a few minutes. In the space of 5 minutes you'll question every decision you've ever made. You'll wonder where you are and how you got to this particular point in time and space. You'll want to go back to that place where it takes you, only it's scary. It's more scary than jumping out of a plane or jumping off a bridge with a bungee cord. It's hard to explain.

Thank you on topic and well put .But nobody's tried a cannabis concentrate dmt mixture? Have a feeling this thread is soon to be closed.

imhe dmt is one of the safest psychedelics, but as with anything some people take it too far.

I think what is more interesting than the psychedelic experience is what causes us to seek it

I did the same thing , but with the 60x or 80x , can't quite remember. Took a dark yellow bong rip. Thought I died and was trying to "pull myself out of death" by grabbing onto one of my friends. My buddies got the whole thing on video tape, lol.

On DMT there is a place you can go beyond all the light, sounds and colors and beings, where there is an apparent void.

A black empty space.

A place where you cant remember yourself, what a human is or even what it means to exist at all.

"darkness within darkness, the gateway to all understanding."

In my opinion, it's best to learn what DMT is like on its own before mixing it with hash. DMT is probably the strongest drug I've ever tried. Hash would make it stronger, which is totally unnecessary when you're new to DMT. You don't need anything to boost the effects of DMT when you have it.

I know we aren't supposed to talk about other drugs here. DMT is important, though. It's another drug that comes from a plant naturally. It's not the kind of thing you smoke after work to relieve stress. It's the kind of thing you try a few times and remember forever. Or a few dozen times if you're as brave as McKenna.

are you saying self exploration vs chasing the latest fad High?

DMT isn't a fad. I'd recommend watching DMT: The Spirit Molecule on netflix if you're interested in trying it. I believe there's a real link between DMT and the religious experience, whether you're religious or not. It gives you the kind of profound experience that religious people talk about when they talk about their God. Even if it's all in your head. It's profound and it's important.

I don't think DMT is much of a tool for solving personal problems.

its too short and disorienting of an experience to achieve anything of that sort.

unless your problems are spiritual in nature...

you are basically freebasing it, it is to ayahuasca as crack is to cocaine.

The right temp is CRITICAL because to much destroys it much like opium

I haven't tried ayahuasca, but it's supposed to be milder and longer lasting. Smoking it is the most intense drug experiences I've ever had. The peak is over in maybe 5 minutes when you smoke it. The next 10 minutes or so feels like you're on acid, which is much milder than what happens at the peak.

It solved for me physical manifestations of mental illness like a light switch but it wasn't like I hadn't spent a lifetime working my karma to achieve that realization, seems these things go hand in hand.

Drugs are problem solving because they give us an opprontunity to see things form another perspective. Very rarely do they "fix" things. With DMT a number of people have experienced problems fixed in one trip. From how I experienced it, it has to do with the depth that it can effect the psyche.

Just doing drugs and hoping for change isn't very healthy either or is relying on them for change. Sometimes the most we can hope for is insight.

That is why I asked what is interesting is what drives us, we are looking to fix problems that we can't see or don't understand. Might be helpful if people had other mindful people surrounding them to guide them through the experience relative to the uncover what they problem they are looking to solve in the first place.

Allegorically speaking once you face your greatest fears and bring them to the light there isn't anything to be afraid of anymore.

Weed however does build new nueropathways and over the term will provide lasting relief from PSTD so the OP has hope either way. Sucks I know that one well

If you are afraid of yourself. Perhaps. When youre on the other side you leave human emotions back where they belong. Its like the tao. Every word spoken detracts from what it really is.
