Anyone growing big (4k+) in a rental unit?

I was wondering if there are any people here doing 4,000+ watts in a rental property (house, apartment, condo). I'm sure there are but I haven't seen any.

Joke with a wee bit of truth as they seem to work the best, I would be more than leary of a new poster asking about someone elses details of going big and all they can show of their progress is a floorplan?

Dont let the red flags hit ya too hard. :yoinks:

Hmmmmm .... A bit off topic but ...

My Mom and I vegged this under a blue lava lamp and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles night light. We added a red lava lamp and a Mag Lite for flower.

All I asked was if anyone could show any solid examples of 4k+ in a rental unit. Why would this set off a red flag? If someone doesn't want to share their info, they aren't going to post it on here.

Whatever people are willing to share is fine with me. I know when I have 5k I do plan on being careful about the information I share. Treat everyone on here as if they could be a cop.

So Verite, I do take some offense, and I feel the comment was a little rude and I'll leave it at that.

edit: and for the record, not even the floorplans are solid because I don't even have a house for this operation yet. So hopefully that doesn't make me more of a cop.

Cool for you, everyone has their own point of referrence, for instance being a total non growing stranger asking about peoples large watt grows could also be considered quite rude. I look forward to the pictures of your 5kwatt grow.

Funny, may your quest for knowledge be as bountiful as your local Krispy Kreme.

p.s. how does the saying go?..

.. Those that need how to ask how to go big are those least equipped to do so.

I haven't grown anything above 100 watts. My knowledge of growing is dissporportionate to the size of a grow I intend to pull off.

I can recover from lack of growing skill if I make mistakes. I can't recover if I make mistakes misjudging a home's realistic capacity to produce marijuana. <--This is directly tied in with security in some instances (ie: the fact that I can't grow in the living room and exhuast through the fireplace, even though I want to so bad!)

I'm willing to put in all the time and energy this thing takes (I've already put so much in already). I'm not trying to cut corners. With the help of others on this board, it can be a very successful venture.

Granted I'm not locked up (or maybe even if I am), I likewise will pass on what I've learned and know. You shouldn't turn your back on me just because I'm new or because I don't have sh*t to show for myself. You can tell I'm serious about this.

And I'd help out more in the other forums (esp. the sick plants forum--no jokes plz) if I could remember half the stuff I used to know when I was on OG with my 100w fox farm ocean forest grow.

Cool, as long as your serious I have plenty of advice. I have seen plenty of plans to go big and maybe 2-3% pan out short time and nothing did long time. The bigger ops that pan out long successful tend to be ones that started out small to medium and then grew big.

By doing it that way you can work your skill set up as you work up the numbers of plants. Sooner or later your skills will crest and so will the # of plants one person can manage by themself and front a job, take care of the house, etc.

The first day of training for a marathon is seldom spent running full bore for 26 miles.

First question I ask of anyone going big is do you know enough people with enough scratch to continually pay for the produce without pushing sacks out of the place you grow? [ big no-no. ] Like 1/2 pound to a pound a week?

If the answer is no then theres no market in your circle and no reason to go big. You would be better off going small and working yourself into the market. Produce good stuff at good rates and people will come back to whoever is got it.
