They make filter bags you can tie over your pump... might help your o-rings last longer, if you can't figure out where the sand is coming from.

Please stop using Paclo products. :thank you: Plenty of threads on here as to why.

My rockwool dumps a bit of sand into my rez my first few waterings. Some sort of rock dust? After week 1 my rezs are clean.

Anyone else using the Hydroplex? I dumped it in at around 1/2tsp a gallon and things are thickening up! Don't want to over do it tho

the only thing i add to my coco is caps benni's and dichotomous earth.

do you add any beneficial bacteria/fungi? do you recycle your coco?

you switched to RO formula but are you using tap water? do you check your tap at different times of year?

heat will make things fox tail. feeding them too high too far into flower will make them fox tail. you switched fomrula right? is the other formula slightly stronger? should you be backing off your EC slightly earlier?

also, all over this thread people say chris said this chris said that. i have never talked to chris, well, one email when i first bought a pound, took couple days to respond and wasnt to clear. i didnt follow up.

personally i would LIKE the formula to change as things are available or unavailable or new things come out. and really i think there should be a formula for each media both ro and tap(rockwool/coco/dwc). the whole point of V+B and the concept is that 90% of plants need a certain profile, once you hit that its over, taper off at the end, media buffering does the rest.

jayjayfrank, i am using botaticare aeration formula and i add great white, i don't recycle coco.. i started with RO formula because my tap after small boy is around 50ppm, quite clean.. my tap does change somewhat during the year.. but variation is very small, it's always stays around 50-70ppm.. i do change my filters regularly.. now regarding fox tailing - heat wasn't an issue, since it was cooler due to the winter.. though my water temp was lower then usual - around 60, and i wonder if temperature difference in roots vs tops was bigger.. as far as feeding, i've used the same strength.. i did switch to a new batch, but kept everything the same.. the newer version was mixing up to exactly the same ppms, only difference - i had to add double amount of ph down..

i think it's a good idea to have formula tailored to specific media.. as far as changes goes.. i think people would be upset if GH flora series would keep the same label, but use different ingredients.. i think that what separates GH from AN.. consistency...

I got those new npk numbers on a hardwater sample I recently received from Chris. If you would like I can post a picture...

I find it odd as to why Chris hasn't posted this change of npk on his website. I went onto the website myself the same day I received the sample to see if they mentioned a change in the npk, nothing was posted suggesting a change was made. Maybe it's the new formula they are going to start using and haven't mentioned it as of yet

thank you green thumbs! it somewhat makes sense that hard water would have a different NPK.. i thought that these numbers represent the change in RO version

filter bags around pump sounds like a good idea.. i've actually thought about it before, but never seen them for sale or anybody using it.. would you recommend a brand?
as far as paclo - i thought that since GH got a bush load approved for legal use in cali, which list 0.4% paclo on the bottle - we are good to go.. isn't it used in food crops? but yes, i know what you mean.. i actually try to use it only when i have to..

Thanks, I've grown this strain a number of times now and have never seen it show colors like this. When I bought the clone a couple of years ago, the dispensary said that it was "BOG Diesel". However, BOG says that he has never released a "Diesel", but has used it in a couple of crosses. Who knows?

Is this a high yielding strain? Looks indica dominant...

Hey everyone I went on the hydroponic-research website last week and requested a sample. Never got an email back so I am not sure if it is coming or not will wait and see.

I wouldn't really call it is high-yielding, but it is does yield better than either Sour Bubble or Sour Lifesaver. In the past, I've gotten 3-4 oz per plant. And yes, I believe that it is indica dominant.

i've talked to GH tech support today and asked a question - why on their feeding chart Diamond Nectar (fulvic acid) is only used for first five weeks of flower? the answer was that it makes nitrogen much more available to the plant and in the later stages could promote secondary flowering.. now i am wondering if the addition of low molecule fulvic acid to original formula is responsible for my foxtailing problems i am having now?

Just askin cuz they look a little dark green & waxy which is signs of to much N , but i don't know the strain & I don't see any tip burn .... so i'm thinkin your right on the edge . & as long as you cut back soon enough .... you won't get the foxtailing or airy buds like i had .
don't take this as critisizm cuz its not .... your grows are great !!! i'm just sayin cuz its how i realized there was a problem with mine having to much N late in flower .

after just purchasing a 5lb bucket i'm ready to sell it and switch to super nat. The new batch of V+B consistently clouds up my rez. I ran plain tap with PH down for over a week and the moment i add V+B it almost instantly clouds

I go through about 75lbs of Veg+bloom a month and my end priduct is better than ever. I thought they had added pgrs or something lol. We just converted a friends house that was running house and garden over after comparing yields and quality. Still can't beat the V+B. I run RO now and never have problems with cloudy rezs

Cool,
I am over it, i'll give things a quick try and that's it, maybe just his tap formula is not that great but the rest of the bucket is going to my flower beds outside.
