Confused guys.

I use tap. And I come from kiss w/MB coco background.
I need to understand something before I try this product out.

I am reading how some of you switch from X veg+bloom to the HD or something along those lines.

If i am in tap/coco...am I only using the hardwater version yea? No combo's I presume?

Oh man is that high bro lol

Go to their website im almost positive that they have different formulas depending on your water source. I remember seeing some for RO some for soft etc but double check. My tap is .2ec at most I use RO still though like Dan now.

Yeah ragged just start off with the hard water formula . get a few runs in with that first & see how ya like it before you start adding other shit into the equation .

Thanks for that new info :shucks:

My question was directed to people who use tap with this product, do they just use the specified hardwater formula? No combo like I see Ro guys doing.

I'm doin it up w the maxi crop for sure!! Loving it...... But I got one question..... How often should I flush?? This cocoa coir seems to hold onto nutrients...... I'm about to go into bloom and I don't wanna screw it up.....

Just make sure you get runoff our keep in from drying out and if you've got the right nutrient strength, no need for flushing.

Exactly. I started running top feed with ample solution with every watering and my shit has blown up. I re-use the nutrient run off and just top it with .2ec tap.

FWIW, I have been using the RO version side by side vs HD. It is almost week 8, and I will be flushing for 10-14 days. Right now they visually look pretty similar, the HD looks slightly larger...but nothing insane, minimal difference visually. I will report differences once dried.

So I also have a larger plant, the same strain as the 2 side by side plants. It drank a ton, I used mostly RO version, but quite often I would also have to use HD because I made small batches of each since it is just experiments for me. Anyways, I am now flushing it and it is the best looking Space Bomb that I have done. It is over 5 ft tall and the buds are all super dense, even down low. The plant is in One of my LED tents and has been getting just RO water for 3 days. The plant is fading nicely, and is going to yield very well. I am looking forward to harvest day. Using the HD and RO did wonders on this plant, I also made a jug of each with +SIZE added in from weeks 3-6 and watered til it was gone...then went back to just plain RO or HD @ 1.2EC for the rest of the week, each week thru week 6. I am super impressed with how this plant looks. V+B has a lot of potential, you have to be willing to experiment a little. But in general I find 1.2 to be a good starting place for most plants in flower.

I was told by HR To use the RO version in Coco until week 3, then switch to HD. I did not see much difference between the RO version only...but they are not done yet. However, I might toy with a different feeding scenario. Next round of clones I am going to alternate RO and HD each feeding on a plant. I am also going to try a 2:1 ratio of RO to HD each feeding. As I believe the RO version is superior in Coco from previous experiments, but adding half the amount of HD might be a perfect combo for flowering in straight Coco. When I tried the Dirty in Coco a long time ago it vegged faster, but did not flower well. I have a good feeling about the 2:1 ratio for Coco, and will report results.

again , thanx man for doing all this experimenting & telling us the results !!! :tiphat:

I know you haven't harvested yet , but i'm curious about taste differences in the buds from different formulas & mixing the formulas . i've gotten a couple strains lately where the taste & smells have been lacking with just the RO formula . not all , only a couple here & there .

I will let you known for sure once harvested. I did a couple smaller plants with RO version, they look and smell good...but the yield was low. They are in jars right now. The HD vs RO plants will be getting flushed later this week. The massive plant has been flushing for 4 days....so I plan on flushing 7-10 more days. It looks killer and is fading nicely! Will let you know how the finalmproduct is,

Thanks CHEF N IC...... Everything I've read has told me to flush once a week..... Maybe I've just overdone things by putting 5 strains on one reservoir...... Everything's going off, but I just wanna b sure before I go into second stage and double up on my nutes that I'm doin the right thing...... I know that not all of them w b perfect, but I'm hoping for a good 80 percent ya know!!!!hope everyone's doin well!!

I've been dabbling with v+b for some time now, with mixed results. I ran 3 or 4 complete crops with the RO version, and 1 complete crop with the HD. I ran +life/size for the first few runs, but dropped it because of the sediment they left in my rez. I was mostly happy with the results, but I did have problems with the plants crisping up in the last 2 weeks in almost every run. Looking back on my notes, I see that I was running 1.6EC in most of flower. This on advice from HR. Actually, Chris told me to push the vegging plants till they showed overfert, then back it down a little. I can easily feed my plants(sourbubble) 1.6EC all through veg and most flower with no signs of problems, until the end. It's only in the last 2 weeks of flower that issues arise. When I push them, vegging plants won't show overfert until ~2.0EC . I've been carefully re-reading the thread, and seeing that most people are feeding well below the rates I used. I'm starting to think I've been overfeeding the whole time. I'm usually already on plain water for the flush when the crisping begins, so I had figured it couldn't be overfert. Now I'm not so sure.

A few crops back, I tried something different. I' ran v+b in veg thru week 2 of flower at 0.8-1.2EC. In week three I switched to PureBlendPro at 20ml/gal, along with 2ml/gal of Hydroplex. Both of these runs have yielded ~20% more than the v+b alone. Also, absolutely no crisping of the plants. I'd been thinking that the PBP was the real reason for improvement, but I'm wondering if it wasn't just the significantly lower NPK's of the PBP? Have I been "drowning" my plants in v+b? There wasn't any dramatic difference in smell, appearance or quality with PBP, just the increased yield. At first I just thought "cool", but lately I've been wondering "why"? I see several people having outstanding results with standalone v+b(dansbuds in particular). I'm also noticing that most everyone is feeding lower rates that what I've been doing. So I ask again, Have I been drowning my plants in v+b? I'm still cloning and veging with it(HD), and am open to flowering again with it. Just looking for some input from the community. I'm happy with the PBP too, but on the whole, the v+b is far simpler to use and store.

My current system is 4L pots with a 55/45 coco/perlite mix, fed with blumats. All my base water is 0ppm RO, the local tap is foul beyond belief. I'm growing my plants to 2-2.5' final flowering height in a very brightly lit, well ventilated 5x9 tent. I'd really like to hear from some of the more experience v+b users on this. I've still got 20#'s of HD and it's going to last forever just using it for veg. I do believe that v+b is a good product, I just haven't been able to get it to work just right for me.
