If you ordered a Free Sample on the website, there are some delays in shipping. We were out of Free Samples for a minute, and then had some damaged in shipping. Your Free Sample is on its way. Thanks for your patience.

If you have a Paid order that has not been fulfilled or you are experiencing difficulty, please contact me at [email protected] As far as I know, everything has gone out smoothly. So if I'm missing something then please let me know asap.

Solstice Garden Supply is the distribution partner for Hydroponic Research. Chris is alive and well and enjoying some time in the lab developing new cool stuff. And brewing beer. And probably drinking some too. We look forward to working with you folks.

Thanx for popping in & letting everyone know whats going on solsticegarden :tiphat:

one thing i might ask you guys to do that IMHO would help customers alot , would be to give us a tracking # link so we can check on the order ourselves .

Hey folks:
I'm not sure if I posted a long while back or not, but I think I'm returning to the veg and bloom party.

I'm in coco, my tap is about .2EC or less (but might start mixing some RO w/ it). I tried veg and bloom dirty (and size and life) a while back. I had to initially use a ton of ph down to get to the 5.6-6.0 range, and the ph crept back up after a day, and of course the dirty was dirty as crap in my res, which I just didn't like. I dealt with those issues for a run and had a great harvest, but went elsewhere because I was sick of those issues. But man that was a helluva harvest! I want to come back to it!

So I'm back. Now I'm seeing different products. I'm seeing the dirty, some HD, tap and, hardwater. I was reading some, but was reading about people combining stuff, and everyone's using a different medium....

So can any veg and bloom gurus recommend a formula for coco that's gonna lower and stabilize my tap's ph at least a little, and won't be overly dirty after a day? I'd ideally like better dissolving then the dirty had, so I can use an autodrop system without worry of blockage.

Again, the best I can say about my tap is that my trucheon reads .2 so it could be less, but my ph is in the high 7's.

You might want to give Chris a call. Super nice guy and very helpful.

.2 ec is not that hard but you may want to try the hard water formula to control the wild pH swings. I don't believe the dirt formula is designed to maintain pH for coco but for dirt so that would explain the pH drift. If you run the tap formula it will bring your pH down well within spec maybe to low if your water is not that hard.

My tap water is .1 EC and 7.0 pH, The RO formula at 1.5 EC is a perfect 6.0 pH.

Current run.

Hope this helps.

The RO formula is the one your after Simple green . it mixes clean & stays that way . it drops the PH for me , & i use protekt to ring the PH back up , but i'm using 0 water RO/DI , so not sure if it will be the same with your .2 ec tap . but more than likely . i use it in a rez & drip system & never had a clogged line or drip manifold .

I'm OCD about a clean rez myself , & the Plus size & life plus (additives ) both leave a sandy residue in the bottom of my rez , so i don't use either & my plants are as healthy & happy as can be !!! the V&B all by itself has been fantastic for me !!!

Thanks for the help! I think I'm going to meet the Veg + Bloom RO half way. I'm gonna use a smaller rez, just mix batches for 2-3 days, and mix my tap 50/50 with RO. I'm gonna just add some life and size when appropriate at the end of a res every couple days, then give a quick rinse before a new mix. The dirty was just downright nasty, and the amount of ph down i was dumping in there was disgusting. You're making the experience sound a whole lot cleaner! Thanks again

I love mixing nutes and ending up with a 5.4ish ph, and using a little dyna gro pro tekt to bring it up a little as well.

Just want to update I had a representive from HR reach out me regarding my order and made things right! Products should be in my box tonight I'm excited to give these Boys a try!

My method is hydro. I use < 100ppm Himalayan salt to start my seeds/clones

V+B is quite potent and complete

Once they hit 2nd node I begin V+B ~ 100ppm

I have vegged quite nicely ~ 200ppm and flowered with 500ppm. The key is adding +Size

You are only vegging total with 200ppm(this includes your water)? Even for a 10 inch plant 200ppm?

right or wrong this is how I do it.

Tap water @ .1 EC, pH 7.0
Seedling .3 - .5. EC total pH 5.8-6.2
Veg from .5 EC building to 1.0 - 1.3 EC
Flower weeks 1 & 2 , 1.0 - 1.5 EC
week 3 - 6 or 7 strain dependent +size 1.0 - 2.0 normally around 1.6 depending on plant and signs of stress.
last 2 weeks no size working from peak EC down to last week at .3 -.2 EC.
Last 2 days straight tap.Flush

Peace

switched from kiss to v+b over a year ago maybe 18 months. Much less hassle. I like the fact that I don't have to add any amendments other than size. I have used life with mixed results. Some strains liked it, some didn't. Now I just run the RO V+B with size from week 3 thru week 6 or 7 or longer depending on finish time of the strain. I also ran the HD version for 1 run. Definitely brought out the colors but short of that produced about the same as the regular RO formula.

Its a top notch product. Simple and effective.

go with the dirty formula in pro mix .make sure you use size and life .its works
outstanding but is very expensive.dont worry bout the dirty part .any fert I use with organic components as part of the mix seems to leave sediment but it seems harmless.i had many comments about how good my last round tasted. if I use it I do so in flowering .

Just curious. If you use what?? The life?? I can buy Life in flower maybe but in early veg can cause issues especially in high concentrations. A little goes a long way.

For me taste has pretty much remained the same compared to the KISS method. Cost is about the same once you add amendments to the KISS.

Keep in mind I run hydro. E/F and DWC.
