Supa's team got selected. They had a great business model though. And Union ties. Its not always what you know, its who you know. Was nice to give him some congratulations. He can grow like a mother fucker.

I think the lawsuits are gonna start being filed anytime now.
I understand that some of the licenses were awarded to applications with grow plans that do not hold water. Can you say Sub Contracting?

His farm is not in the driest place either. I grew in those cane fields in 79 plus that is ice head central. His security guys will be busy. Doing business in this state is hard. Good luck to them all.

Time.... I've been silent for awhile. Partly because the keyboard broke, and I was too damn lazy to go to town and get a new one. Partly because it seems to be a brand new world out there, and my pointing that out may dump a jinx into the mix. What held true last year and for a decade or two before that may no longer be valid. This year they went and changed the rules, or at least enforcement of the rules.... or so far... so it seems.

The big test'll come next month at the end of the fiscal year. That leftover money they always spend, just so they don't have to give it back? If there is no Green Harvest in June we know there ain't no money to spend, and that the DPS wants nothing to do with the new program. Meaning a strictly DOH show. That would be nice. But for now we stare at empty skies and worry.

The dispensaries were chosen, only two weeks late. There was some mess up with fingerprinting and background checks. Though I have yet to see the document, it seems that both winning applicants business plans held some pretty wild assumptions, shit that was never gonna happen on the production side. It looks like the Legislature pulled their bacon out of the fire by allowing subcontractors into the party. Now, instead of everything keeping everything in house, it looks like they will allow others to do the real work. Kind of a 180 from what they sold the Legislature last year.

The outdoor part was killed for the session, with the understanding that the next group of applicants can attempt that route.

Next group of Applicants? WTF? That's interesting. Never heard about them. Maybe those are gonna be kept in reserve, kinda like the DOH's trump card. Sue us? Go for it. You'll win, but we're gonna accept everybody then, turning your monopoly to shit.

It's already happening. If subs are allowed. Only the dispensaries pick the winners because they have production covered, not the DOH.

Behold the brave new world.

That's the big picture as I see it. But you may be following a blind man. Either way, we are but leaves in the stream. We're gonna go where they take us. No control there. But where we do have a say is the small picture... the here and now.

The smaller picture looks better. Some of the dispensaries have already announced that they won't be open until next year. That leaves the DOH in a bad place. They were all suppose to be open by July I believe. That ain't gonna happen.....

Which makes us the only game in town. In a dry El Nino year. With (so far) no Green Harvest, so thus no adult supervision. It don't get no better than that. As close to perfection as I have seen for a long time.
