Damn I want to move there...I miss Amsterdam lol...they could need a few good growers there imo, most of the bud and hash there was junk, trash, shit, schwag.

now FJ, while i've seen enough of your pics to know that your pot is beyond a shadow of a doubt a full step above commercial dutch pot, i think refering to dutch pot and hash as 'junk,trash,shit,schwag' might be pushing it...
first of all, any hash you tried that was crap was almost definately NOT made in holland. nederhash is exclusively Bubble/isolater made from nice frosty indoor ladies.
second, just like any other area you have all kinds of weed available in amsterdam. from straight up brickweed (well, it's exotic and all, thai, jamaican, but it's still not good), to top of the line fluffy buds. eventually, when you've been in amsterdam long enough, you get real selective about where you buy, where you hang out, where you drink, etc... if you know what to look for, and where to look for a good sample of it, you will NEVER be let down in amsterdam.
99 out of 100 times the dealer will let you see the buds before you buy. so buying bad weed is never necessary.
now... that being said, i think that a coffeeshop filled with your guys' wares would OWN in amsterdam. seriously....
if you need a dutch national as a contact to help you set things up, you be sure to let me know...

I believe Bluesky is correct with everything including coffee shops there was good and there was bad... so I would say more exploring would be in order
I am one of those gott'a find out for myself kind'a tokers... and I look forward to many more vacations over to gain more experience...
As far as living there,,,, i have heard that the Dutch have very strict work and business contract laws so to jump in the coffee shop biz would be incredibly difficult IMHO... but one who puts the time, effort and heart can do just about anything they want with patience and planning... so, 'we all can dream' .... and then work that way..... or maybe I'm just stoned...lol..

Speaking of work.. H3ad found it interesting how they lay and replace the brick with the sand in between, and was constantly pointing and looking at the construction and remodeling that they are doing... You see these buildings with colored netting, with ladders and scaffles all around them... He is quite talented when it comes to restoration in old things to make them look like they were never damaged.... :smile: so, he loved that part of the trip, looking at all the old buildings and imagining the history that is there....

and Sleepy.... I don't know who he was!... His name was Danny and we didn't see him for the rest of the trip... But I am forever grateful for his guide and help in getting us train tickets, riding in to central station with us all along giving us little pointers about things... I was just happy to have met someone right off the bat that was so eager to help even though he,himself had just endured the same long ass plane ride we did and I am sure he was wanting to get to his own apartment... but to me he earned the nickname "Diesel Danny" .... he was such a doll.... .... but that really is all of the tale of Danny, but i'll never forget him....

Hehe, its not all shit you know im j/k most of it is good but imhojustmy2centsIthink that they could really do a much better job, but I understand that they just cant cure buds for months if theres people willin to buy 100s of kilos a day, so maybe someday..:wink: The best organic buds I have found were from Haarlem, I think Amnesia has many organics, one of my most favorite shops is Grey Area, good weed, usually properly cured (Amnesia also, usually very nice bud and this time the dealer&all were very nice to me lol) and I just like it, lol.

The Grey Area- best bet if looking for organics...
The Dampkring (translation: Atomosphere)-wide selection, awesome hash
Amnesia- really great menu with some rare and interesting stuff
Katsu- i've had hit and miss here, but when it's good, it's REAL good..
The Noon- best deal in town... 5gs of Blueberry for 23 euros
The Rokerij (i prefer the one out by the Leidseplein)- great Jack Herer last time
Barney's- over rated, but still great pot... and expensive, yet tasty food. good place to nurse a hangover.
Kadinsky-fabulous white russian
Greenhouse- but only for the Arjan's Haze... oddly enough, some of the worst and best pot i've smoked in A'dam has been from the greenhouse..
Chocolata- mmmm, hash chocolates... hash hot chocolate... space cakes... mmm

Club Media, the front looks like a large newspaper.lol It has many of hte FDs strains. Nice smoke and cheap too. Mostly Dutch and very friendly. Just north one street of the Katsu.

What great pictures Mrs G.! It is such a diverse city, there is something there for everyone....from the cronic shoppers to the cronic smokers.
Harlaam/Willy's is a shining example of how a coffeeshop can and should be. Top quality smokeables, friendly staff, and enough room to move about and breath.
This past year was a fine example of quality folks. The trip was great, but second to meeting and hangin with such excellent peeps. I never heard a harsh word, only laughter and smiles all around, it was awesome!
FD genetics are great, hard to diss the roadkill skunk....good stuff, sorry I never made it that far out.
Next year maybe
