he don't mean to brag
he don't mean to boast
sonoma the man, conquering more then most
setting up growrooms throughout the land
100's of plants with nugs too big for the hand
remunation is the word of the day
sonoma gettin that major pay!
Having set up a test drip system just the other day on a test grow in larger coco pots , i will never attempt to go this route again . having all that unreliable spaghetti throughout the tables & the room is uneccessary and a complete PITA to work around .
Have to agree with neptune that in 1gal containers top drip is totally uneccessary and E&F completely simplifies the trip ... but lovely looking strain u have going there . Always nice to have the flood cycle as short as possible but there's absolutely no harm in even a 25min flood & drain for healthy vigorous plants & good drainage in the media .
* Employing the use of a good air pump and bubblers in the rez is a must for any good grow ...i use one made in Japan called Medo that has 8 outlets and good to airate 5000gals ...you can't have too little oxygen when it comes to roots , lol. And the japanese do not make anything cheap or unreliable when it comes to their precious Koi fish , btw , and their air pumps are the best .
So if you like healthy happy bright eyed Koi fishies ...or healthy pot plants
think of getting one of these for your rez ...running continuously for 4yrs & counting : http://www.usakoi.com/subcat56.html
Nice air pump, thanks for the link. I agree, e&f simplifies everything, and I agree that healthy plants can sit in healthy water for long periods. One thing about the spaghetti, there is very little waste and/or re-use of nutrients with the spaghettis. It gives them what they need and that's it. Ebb and flow works awesome, but I'm not looking for simple, I'm looking for efficiency and optimun performance. I haven't found it, but I'm looking. I have a room that is ebb and flow, and it works great, but I made it that way for simplicity.
As far as the spaghettis being messy.....
I don't know, it's not that messy. You have to mess with the spaghettis every couple of months, and that's it. Never cloggs. no mess, no prob. Some people like to move thier plants, touch them, big leaf and a whole array of other tending type things, but I plant it and leave it.
Oh, and for the record, I can't take all the credit....I have some awesome people I work with and we collaborate on everything, but I appreciate everyones gratitude.
Thanks for the poem Lilwayne
As you can see I am a fan of flood and drain
however, it's a little too plain
It's good that I'm not a poet
as you see and now know it.
Hey Sonoma............As always excellent work and much thanks for the contribution of your time and knowledge..............Your response about the electrical was greatly appreciated since stoves, dryers, and portable jacuzzi`s all carry readily available outlets to plug in to........My biggest concern being a homebuilder but not an electrician is how many circuits can be run for 6-600`s in 2 rooms flip-flopping with fans, dehumidifiers, portable a/c`s, timers, and pumps from a 50 amp breaker.......My next area has a portable jacuzzi on the screened porch and some type of flip flop timer board would be nice but would 50 amps carry all the load for 2 rooms with 3-600`s in each room 24/7 with all the above extras plus fluorescent t-5`s for mothers and clones?........I`m trying to give a for example type thingy so newbs are`nt out there getting wrong info and burning homes down letting em know you just can`t plug all this shit into an outlet and a buncha surge protectors with 6 outlets and everythings gonna be aight.........Peace.........DHF.........
not until I'm dead. I haven't been taking a lot of pictures lately. I had computer problems for a while, so I had to delete a bunch of photos to have my computer worked on. I do have a new creation that I'd like to share, so I'll take some photos later...
I'll also, try to answer all of the unanswered questions I neglected to answer...sorry...I won't let it die...back later..........
sonoma nice work. very profesional. How does the inline venting work for you? What temps are your roooms at? Ive switched to plenums for all the intakes and plenums for all the exhaust. That way all lights get their own intake and exhaust. my ac hardly even comes on anymore. Am I over doing it. I figure with inline each light passes on its heat to the next so its not as effective. What are your thoughts?
p.s Check out picos thread on air cooled light testing. I tested the super sun 2 as being better than the silverstars. testing a bunch more too
I'm happy to admit that I've just been educated ... just read the last 9 pages and you have shown me how to maximise a room ... no foot access, 8 to 10 inch plants at introduction(12/12), not to "cramed" either, 30 sec fed once a day with no doubt an airpump in the res ...
with an organic soilmix of blood meal, bone meal, lime, some wormcastings, rock powder(minerals) lots of perlite, the plants could be fed only H2O so the res can be hooked up to a float valve at the water tap and stay filled ... lol ... set up the garden, leave, come back 60 days later ... lol ... keeps the trail in the snow to the "shop" literaly inexistent ... hope that'll help one gardner
