Alec Baldwin to be charged with involuntary manslaughter over “Rust” death

Any cap and ball.

You have just showed your hand in your assumptive accusations.

It's probably worth noting that you have yet to find out that I am indeed correct.

I find it also of note that you presume, and as such will remind you that I said this:

You only need to prove it to yourself.
How............be very specific please.
😆

OMFG

I can't say that a gun can discharge without the trigger being pulled without you hearing that it wasn't a person's fault.

You fellas are super charged and polarized for bear.

Argue over BS if you need to, but it's BS.

I think it's probably gone unnoticed that I said that Baldwin is likely lying.

Frothing and champing the bit but no substantial conversation.

Would you let me point a cap and ball at your foot and bet me I can't shoot your foot without pulling the trigger?
Yes.

It might just hit a thumb swinging from the holster.

That's an option that doesn't involve pulling the trigger.
Still gotta pull the trigger or the safety notch at half cock stops the hammer.
You do know how a single action revolver functions being a smith and all?
Are you asserting that pulling the hammer back and releasing it before the half cock notch engages is sufficient to cause primer to fire?

It was pages ago when I pointed out that the gun in question is obviously not a cap and ball... but here we are...

Still.

No. The hammer doesn't have to be cocked at all.

Maybe you should go to a cap and ball competition and ask any of those guys to show you in person why they carry an empty chamber.

I suggest less petulance and more listening should you go.

I am discussing a 1873 Pietta single action revolver the exact model that Baldwin shot the girl with.
Your ignorance of the subject matter is astounding yet here you are.
Here is a schematic drawing it may help.

Ok time is up thanks for playing.

I've loaded a lot of .45 long Colt.

I know that round but pointed out that it's not cap and ball.

You should read back a few pages.

I used the very fact that it was NOT cap and ball which leads me to think that the trigger got pulled.

Then there's a couple pages of bullshit.

I have plants to transplant.

Enjoy your day!

PS If you do finally see for yourself don't do it a lot. It can be like dry fire on the nipple.

Let's say I'm having a little get-together at my house of my NRA-trained gun friends. We're in the game room, there's a game on the tube and some great tunes coming out of the speakers, and four of us are playing doubles 8-Ball pool. Somebody starts showing off a new gun purchase, and it goes around the room in a kind of show and tell. Nobody 'clears it', including me.

I point it at someone and pull the trigger and BANG! My friend dies as a result.

Who's ultimately at fault? Nobody involved in this very fictional account bothers to clear the firearm, because we all assume that 'the other guys' have already cleared it.

But only one person pulled the trigger.
is this not why there are professionals on the set in order make sure sure no accidents happen?
People playing with guns like they´re toys - a tragedy waiting to happen as is overconfidence.

Your example doesn´t explain much I´m afraid. One pulls the trigger but who put the bullet in in the first place and didn´t mention it or take it out again? they´re just as guilty imo.

It´s a bit like the chicken and the egg question, only with a very sad ending :(

Oh I see that... dogzter can't get it either.

It's willful ignorance and quite popular these days.
Oh, C'Mon, Man! I say the earth is flat and I can prove it, but you need to figure it out for yourself because I'm offering you no proof of my assertion - does that make you willfully ignorant?

I disagree with your assertion. I posted information from other sources that kind of promote my position. You've posted nothing to back up yours...but I'm willfully ignorant?

A pressure strike is all that matters to the cap.

The trigger has nothing to do with that style of discharge.

I just keep things real.

I've done it (purposely) and it can kill people.

But I admit that black powder is fun to make and shoot... just feel like people can be safer.

Good to see you Rob!
