You should think about putting your filter on the outside of the tent, give you some more head space inside the tent.

with the height limitation of the homebox L, cyber whats your best guess of when to flower to avoid overgrowing myself?

Not such a big concern right now. You should be able to keep your plants constrained vertically. The work that you are doing right now with the LSTing will help quit a bit.

the plants height has decreased a lot due to LST'ing. they are ~12 inches now, not including pot height obviously. even the one i LST'd is a monster now, overgrowing everything in the fucking tent!

With the training I've never had a plant taller than 30". Even the Kali Mist that I've got now, which is supposed to be a huge stretcher, is under 30". I think that when the growth is distributed from 1 main stem to 8-10 main stems the amount of effective vertical stretch is lessened dramatically.

i'm guessing...at this point...5 weeks from seed...begin flower...around....maybe...next 1-2 weeks?

You can flower them whenever you want. I'd say the most important thing at this point is managing the timing well by making sure that you are flowering plants in pots where they have some room to grow.

You have to strike a balance between getting herb sooner and getting more herb. Every person in your situation is going to have different balance point in this regard.

question - on LST'ing, do you leave the plants tied down until harvest basically? or do the ropes come off at a point?

With the rubber band method of anchoring the plants usually spring loose on their own in the course of flowering. Mostly I just let them go with some pruning and super-cropping in early flower. I will sometimes use strings for the purpose of spreading a plant out.

I'm a fan of this especially since you have to have your tent behind a curtain anyway. I don't think you want to run your light on a separate fan circuit from the tent though.
