Evening folks! Got home from picking up the Camero, took a shower and 2 ibuprofen and I feel good! K is having fish and spinach for dinner. I'll stick to pizza.

peace

I am at another one of my doctors appointments once again. There’s a sign at the front desk that you can’t wear cologne or heavy perfume because of allergies. I walk into the back and it smells like a whorehouse with what these girls are wearing. I don’t tolerate fools like I used to, and it’s starting to cause me a problem with the people iron across
My wife is allergic to everything that smells good to others.

One whiff of cheap cologne, aftershave, glade plug in, et al and her vocal folds close up and she can barely talk. Kind of weird for a Speech Pathologist....

I live in a scentsless house....

I'm glad they are finally burying the worst president of the 20th century. At least only @Yarddog was subjected to endless programs about what a great guy he was, etc...
He was a humanitarian and I met him a couple of times on Habitat for Humanity builds. I was there cause I talked the boss into paying me to hammer nails.
I never heard much about him, honestly. My dad was respectful when he told me his opinions. 😂 i had a teacher once that was out fishing and saluted him Said he couldn’t stand the SOB but he was a Marine and that was a former president.

We may get some sleet and accumulating ice tomorrow. If so it’s fixing to shut ole Dixie down for a solid week. Last ice storm we had was 2005 and was 9 days no power. We just can’t handle it down here. Trees are closer to power lines. No infrastructure for icing conditions. Pipes are not deep. I took my nana some eggs this evening and half the houses I passed had a light bulb in the crawl space to keep the pipes thawed.
We can handle 101 degrees and 98% humidity but a quarter inch of snow and we are crashed in the ditches and all the bread and milk etc is gone like the freaking wind.

No worries here. My genny won’t power my well, but we have a bored well with clean water in a field nearby. You know how much work it is to pull a bucket back up a well?? I need to build a fancy well house for it. Make it look traditional.

We maintain a minimum of two weeks of most anything we need. I keep 20 gallons of kerosene for emergency heaters, and 35 gallons of gasoline that gets rotated out. Maybe 15 twenty Lb tanks, and we are down to 580 gallons of propane in the ground. It’s about time to fill the pig back up to 800. Home canned and freezer food. Even walkie talkies so my parents and our house can communicate together. I wouldn’t say I’m a prepper, but I do enjoy the security of my seat belt in a car. A little planning can go a long way for your family.
Hell, I want society to shut down a week, I could stay home and get some stuff done for a change 😂

Still snowing. The weather man said its over performing WTF.
My boss is confident it won’t affect us at all. But the national weather service charts show a split chance in my opinion of at least freezing rain. Which is bad enough down in the south. We can’t handle any water unless it’s wet😂

I was stationed in Charleston South Carolina when Jimmy was POTUS and the bass turd put a freeze on our money , no cost of living raise for a year and long gas lines..

the worst interest rates I ever saw were in the early 80’s , I seen 18% mortgages…

but at least the hostages were released
And peanuts. Don’t forget about the damned peanuts

Last surgery I had I debated how I was going to handle the cannabis thing. Pre surgery info all suggested no cannabis. I didn't want take that route, how much of it is stale information, repeated over and over.
I started to tell the nurses I was going to be using cannabis up to the evening before surgery but none the morning of. They gave in and suggested I tell the surgeon exactly how much cannabis in mg. I was using.
The surgeon did not cancel my surgery as some suggested. They mostly want to know so they can use the proper anesthesia and not have me waking up half way through the surgery.
Sometimes like yourself you have to stand your ground.
I was out under for a minor surgery, and I woke up part way through. They did mention I may, and likely wouldn’t remember. But I remember picking my head up some and the guy saying “hey man, just keeping you alive”. And I was lights out again
He mentioned prior to the surgery his job was to administer the anesthesia and in an effort to not kill me with too much, I may wake up during the surgery. Prolly trying to save money the bastards.

That one is $145,000
I couldn’t have a car too nice to actually use. I don’t drive my Camaro in the rain, and I’m picky about when and where I drive it. But I have scratches here and there, and rock chips in the quarter panels from the tires. A “clean example” is what my dad always told me when I was a kid. Make it too nice and you can’t drive it.
I’m the guy that will light em up half way through second gear and give third gear a good spin.
My dad and I rebuild a 67 RS/SS. Took years, and we have never truly finished it. If I do anything, it’s going to be restoring his 73 Z-28. I want to see it in the road while he’s still alive. I want to let him drive, like when I was a small boy. It was his car from high school. And life got in the way. She needed work around 1993 and that was that. Been parked in carport since then. How it survived I don’t know. Street racing. Acting the fool, qualudes and whiskey and typical teen age foolery in the mid to late seventies. That car has lived a wild life in its young days.
