when plants make complex sugars sap suckers basically get drunk and die of alcohol poisoning.
I didn't think they would actually get drunk first but makes sense. ...
One thing is for sure the mites get 2 to 3x larger than normal feeding off plants that were once in optimum health. I assume nutrient dense plants being the cause of them being so large. I've noticed mites with excited nervous systems running around looking frantic and not eating. Normally their will be dead ones looking frozen in place as well.. Fascinating, to me at least...
I've used 4 day old foliar mixes I've kept bubbling with air stones w seemingly no loss in potency or no neg effects...
Well my guy had that meeting with John and Phil but it was all business and no nerding out. Hopeful he will get to nerd out with John when both their schedules calm down a little.
Have you tried suppressing senescence after harvesting the first few curcubits?
I do the same thing. My favorite thing to do is pick Sungold tomatoes before the sun rises when its 45-50 degrees outside. YUM!!
My buddy had a gnarly internal imbalance going on that was causing him to have an infected spider bite that just wouldn't get better. I had him drink 1 tsp per 100 lbs of body weight of catalyzed water and he was right as rain by the 3rd day.
So after my soil results and adding in everything I posted up before, my plants I have exploded. I also have applied everything at the proper application rates. (which helps!) The newest problem, or should I say opportunity for solution, is some of my plants have dropped yellow leaves. I assume this is because the soil is in overdrive and the bacteria have consumed large amounts of nitrogen. I applied a dose of PPD as a root drench, but I think I need to up the dosage as I was applying at 70% of recommended amounts.
Do others have this problem once the soil kicks it into overdrive? Does AEA have a nitrogen product?

Are old leaves that have yellowed begun to drop ? Or are new leaves on the lower part of the plant beginning to yellow and drop now that you've increased concentration of your application ?

Sorry. Everything was perfectly dark green and looking good. Now a hand full of old leaves are starting to turn 100% yellow, and the plant has lost that dark green color, but only slightly.
It's probably past the time to foliar and drench again to correct any issues , try to remember the time between applications and then apply a few days before you noticed the symptoms you are seeing now.
Nice, I was trying to find the cause as well. Why all the sudden the N needs shot up? Also remember I delayed flower till Aug 10, so I am at least a week and half behind you guys. I will keep up my regimn, and up the does of PPD. Thanks for the advice BYF.

N is far too easy to come by ... Make sure your soil is properly moist, you might be surprised..do you have a soil EC meter?

When is the new line drop?
Yes e scent shield is potent! Too much and you will fry things quickly. Only spray at lights off and allow to fully dry before lights on. I cannot recommend a safe per gal amounting keep it at 1ml and under to be safe, mist lightly. A dripping drench sometimes burns....
