Early vapor hits from sample buds are proving very nice. This is some very heady stuff, I really enjoy the slightly disorienting effect in moderation. I'm guessing over indulgence could leave you spinning. I can't wait to write up a report on some well cured product.

Haven't really thought about putting them on the scale. I may for giggles, but I'm guessing it's around 100 grams each. That could be +/- 25% or so.

If I get a chance, I'll try to get a more accurate weight for you. It's a good haul considering these were flowered indoors under basically a 430 W HPS w/ some supplemental CFL.

My experience really doesn't allow for a good answer to your question. The Old Timer's Haze I grew started indoors and finished outdoors and the Purple OTH x Meao Thai started outdoors, went indoors for 14+ weeks and finished outdoors for the last 2 weeks or so.

I have no doubt that outdoor light is always superior to indoor in the way that marijuana chemistry manifests. Indoor lighting, though, has come a long way recently, and I think the right combinations can bring reasonable resemblance to outdoors. Old beliefs of Metal Halide for vegetative and High Pressure Sodium for flowering stages need to be challenged. I am considering a new run with a mixture of HPS, LED and MH during flower. I will mix and match till I come up with the right combination.

It looks like the last comment on smoke was on the 23rd of August. I'd say a brief report on the 23rd of this month if the Nr8tor feels up to it? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the F3's. This is gonna be some epic stuff for sure. Hey UrhumbleN8tor, I'd recommend curing these in a vucu-sealed container if possible, with no oxygen what so ever I'd think they would cure faster. Just an idea.

How about this R.F.

This is a formal smoke report on Ace Purple Haze x Meao Thai (F1) further known as PHT.

The PHT is long flowering; around 18 weeks depending on how you like your Sativa trichomes to finish.

Appearance: The flowers clusters form as foxtailed stacked calyxes. Bracts are on the small to medium side and seem smaller than the original green Old Timer's Haze I've run before. The plants stayed green until the end with the color darkening and then adding some mild purple hues late in flower. Cured flowers are a wispy and a pleasing dark green. Trichomes sparkle in the light.

Aroma: PHT has a peppery/spicy, floral, woody, astringent and incense aroma. By incense, I mean of a woody variety and not like church incense which is described in certain NYC Haze specimens. The smoke has a slightly spicy under note.

Taste: The flavors on inhale are mildly ripe berry like fruit and woody incense. On exhale the same flavors are present, but mostly muted by an almost soap or cilantro flavor. That flavor is interestingly pronounced and can linger for a few moments after exhale.

Effects: She really shines here. The effects are first noted rather quickly and build for 20 minutes or more after the last hit. A nice head high with very little body. The more you indulge brings on soaring highs that keep on climbing. With over indulgence, you can have bouncing thoughts but in moderation you can keep somewhat focused, though I wouldn't recommend this for work requiring immense concentration. The peak of the high ends about 50 minutes after consumption and then she slowly glides back down to earth leaving a moderately clear head an hour or so after peak. There appears to be very little ceiling and some mild psychedelia in larger doses. As witness, a few words from my friend Terpene...

I have to concur. The pure green haze is like a single note (up up and away) where the PHT adds some counter notes and provides a fuller effect. It is not quite as jittery as the green OTH which can become paranoid-al at higher doses. I'm looking forward the the F3 grows ongoing and will be searching for that deep purple hazy specimen for the future.

That was a solid little chunk of hash resin for a single session, mate. I usually only go about 25% of that size in a small glass bowl heated from the outside by a butane torch until it releases the vapor. Even then, you get a nice up (manageable) buzz...so I can imagine that was a powerful little trip...
