Hola Amigos !
Happy New Year... May your gardens be overgrown with fruiting ladies!!

@ dubi ~ It's been a long time my friend, but I think of you often as I visit the garden. I hope you are well !! :tiphat:

:thank you: for all of your hard work & passion !

This is the first run of one of my Purple OT haze X Meo Thai females :woohoo:

she is at 16 weeks of 12/12 right now and needs few more days.
She was started in a small 1 gal container, veg'd for a few weeks to take cuttings and then placed into flower.

after about 5 weeks of flowering , I put her into a slightly larger 3 gal container to finish.

She looks great with nice resin & nice hazy scent !

High De La Luz :tiphat:

Always a pleasure to see you around! Im glad you just harvested your haze thai and that you are enjoying the early samples
No doubt, the aromas and taste are classic old school sativa haze, and the effect electric and menthal!

Be careful with the spider mites in the next rounds, if mites are already stablished in the garden is very important to deeply clean with bleach the room, tools etc and use an abamectine treatment in early flowering to avoid problems later, especially with this kind of long flowering plants ... even with a decent cleanning in early flowering they still will be flowering for 3-4 months more without treatment (unless you want to spray them when they into flowering: NOT recommendable). That's why is so important to clean the plants and garden perfectly in early flowering.

Thanks a lot for share it! dubi

De La Luz, I'm glad to see you are enjoying the early samples. This is indeed an electric weed.

Here are mine at day 1 of 12/12.

picture.php

Right front is Purple Haze Thai F3 from 3B mother. Back left is PHT F3 from 4B mother, Middle front is pure Purple Haze.

I am expecting a pretty massive stretch on these.

I wonder if dubi can chime in on the way this plant is leaning genetically. I've not seen these wider almost wavy leaves before.

Top looks hazey, bottom looks thai though it's difficult when they're freshly screened. You'll have a much better idea in about 6 weeks post stretch. What are the other plants in the background?

Yes, I believe the 4b is thai leaning, but the leaves have this wavy structure that looks a bit unusual.

Rest of the cab is pure purple haze...

I also have a questionable GDP clone that isn't Ken's but supposedly has a very high THC output. I thought I'd give her a chance for one run.

And a supposed pre 98-Bubba cut.

and finally, the F-13 shemale that I culled.

Looking good UHN !!

I just took down #2 here ... more resin & aroma ... took the full 18 1/2 weeks to finish.

She was about the same size as the first one... I'm trying to re-veg #2 as my clone of her didn't make it.

I already have round two of #1 underway. Will get some pics up soon.

@ dubi ~ Thx for the helpful hints on mites... the issue was not mites at all but rather "over fertilization" earlier in the cycle. The damage this did to the leaves does closely reasemble the effects of mites sucking out the life of the leaf from underneath... Thankfully all I have to watch for is over feeding next time out. (when I first saw the damage in the room after the over feeding... I initally freaked because I thought I had mites too...:huggg: )

High UHN :)

It's hard to tell yet, there's hybrid vigour on the Purple Haze Thai mix that produces bigger leaves than straight pure haze or pure thai, guess we need to wait for the flowering to confirm more influences but you are right, the PHT 4b has a leaf shape that is not very typical in the hybrid. Thanks for the updates and good luck for flowering, cant' wait to see more of your work with this sativa!

Hola De La Luz

Thanks for the clarification, i thought it was mites ....

Definatly this kind of tropical sativa hybrids need a third part or half strenght of feeding compared with typical modern sativa/indica hybrids. Congrats to finish such extreme sativa indoors, your pics are very welcome ;)

This thread is one of my favorites. Currently have two that are a few weeks old. I mixed up the labels, so they're either phaze/Thai f3 or Golden Tiger or one of each. The side branches are still small, but are already sending out their own branches. They're going to be branchy, lanky girls. Hoping for Thai/haze, but won't be disappointed either way.

Glad you enjoy this thread, kamyo. Post a few pictures of your seedlings. Perhaps we can identify them for you.

Humble - Round after round of great looking results. :tiphat:
I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps with a PHT seeding I've just started.

Nice job also De La Luz, and GKN has a very great looking cross.

UHN, I hope you don't mind me attaching a photo of my seedling. I only got 1 out of four to sprout, but it looks nice so far. All the more precious!

This little cutie is the most sativa looking seedling that I have seen in a long time. The image can not capture it, but the color is a shimmering green. It reminds me of a metalic paint I have seen on hot rod cars. It's almost like I'd see metal flecks if I looked at it through a microscope.

Or, perhaps I'm seeing an auora. I think this plant likes me

That is a beautiful start, ThaiBliss. Keep us updated on your progress and feel free to post pictures here if you like. I will have more photos of my Haze/Thai's in a week or so. My camera is in the shop.

Here's mine. Can't remember how old, but I want to say about 2 months from germination. About 2 feet wide right now. Staked down with a cut up coat hanger and tucked away behind a raised bed. Topped once a few weeks ago and staked down the 3 main branches last week. Topped those branches shortly after this picture was taken. Have to keep her short for various reasons, but she's given me no problems. Still hasn't shown sex, which is weird considering I'm at ~12/12 year round.

About 5 gallons of soil (peat/compost/worm castings/perlite/recycled potting soil) into a hole dug into the sand. Has given me zero problems so far. Speculating that she's PHaze/Thai because I mixed up the label on those and some Golden Tigers I had. Being in the ground, I know she'll get big. Just hope she starts flowering sometime soon. Untouched, I'd say she would be around 5 ft. right now. Can't wait to check it out in a couple days and see how the new growth is going. Might have time before flowering to take a few cuts and grow them out in a smaller pot.

Hello kamyo,

Glad to see them growing outdoors :) They look like Haze Thai almost 100 % for sure, they need at least 6-7 weeks of life to declare sex from seed. Best wishes!

Thanks for chiming in, Dubi. That's what I was hoping. I'm hoping that the new growth will establish right before flowering. Probably just tie her down during the massive stretch. Even if it's a boy, I have some Ducksfoot, Peyote Purple, and Yunnan that I'd love to hit with that pollen. If it's anything like UHN's girls, I'll be in for a real treat.

She will be a finicky one indoors. I will up pot her next week. We'll see how that and the mixed spectrum light does for her.
