Some updated photos and events just before we hit the 16 week 12/12 mark. These have now been outdoors for 9 days.

The first pictures are of plant 1. These are lower branch shots and the flowers look to be finished or nearly so.

You can see that there are definitely amber glands. I harvested this branch and will have some closer shots below.

Here is the same plant at the top...

The tops still look a week or two away. I'm likely only able to give another week in the garden, so hopeful the sun ripens her up nice. Anyway, by then, I expect them to be thinking about reveging (for the third time).

Here are some shots of plant #2.

Again, the upper branches are not quite ready, though they appear a little further along than #1. Definitely a nice volume of flowers on each cola.

Here, we are looking at a lower branch.

This also appears like it should be ready to harvest any day now.

All in all, these plants appear to be a pretty good mix of both Thai and Haze influence.

And here are some pictures from the branch I harvested yesterday evening...

The smell is heavy spice. Peppery, incense, fruit and wood. Really beautiful stacked trichomes glistening in mature resins.

I really hope the rest of these plants finish soon. They may begin to revegetate for the third time before they finish, so I will keep them going for the next week and see how they ripen up.

Looks like it's going to be a winner dubi, and I can't wait to get to the F3's though I may need to keep the ones I have going right now in veg for a while before I can get them into flower.

I pulled them out of the tomato stand for pictures today. They got a full days dose of intense sunshine.

The more foxtail of the two has a slight lavender tinge starting to show on the upper calyxes. Both plants exhibit purple hues in the pistils as they change from white to red. Even though new pistils are forming, the tops are about 75% cloudy with an occasional amber.

Some of the lower branches are well done by now. At least 10-15% amber on some flowers. I began the harvest today...

Glorious wood and pepper spice.

The rest of the plant will be harvested over the coming days.

Chopped the plants yesterday afternoon.

Here is the chunkier of the two...

Bags of PHT.

Sticky, spicy, floral woody, astringent and incense. Not a strong aroma, but a pleasant one for sure. Long days of trimming ahead.

awesome to see them go to the end amigo, thanks for sharing..when im faced with the stringy weeds i normaly ditch the scissors and trim the flowers by hand before they get burned..the trim gets a nice smoothness in its own right with a cure..makes a good mixer when your running low on buds..:D

great show, makes me want to pop some more purple haze x pananma.:D

Panama x purple haze sounds like a great cross. I take it this was a limited edition release that isn't likely to be around again any time soon?

Great grow btw. Thanks for sharing it.

Congrats UHN for another successful haze harvest ;)

Love the voluminous tropical foxtailed sativa flowers! How was the photoperiod and lower temps in the last 2 months of flowering ?

Looking forward to hear your opinion about how the new generation Purple Haze Thais compare with the new F3 generation! Best regards!

dubi,

Indoor flowering was kept constant at 12/12. The last few weeks were outdoors in mid summer sun so more like 13.5 light/ 10.5 dark. I believe that caused a bit of elongation on the top colas.

In ideal situation, the photo period over the last 6-8 weeks would be shortened towards 10.5/13.5. I think that would keep the flowers a bit more tight. Even with the light schedule they were given, the flowers were very voluminous.

I'm taking clones off of the new Purple Haze and Haze Thai F3's. Looking into a new grow space that would allow me more flexibility in light schedule.

What are your thoughts on ideal light schedule for these tropical sativas if flowered indoors?

Fantastic job Nr8tor!
I know you've tried some by now. How is it??

Well, it is way to early to really provide a report, but since you asked, I did vape a small amount of an early nugget I took a week or so ago.

It is still rather green, but the flavors on inhale are mildly incense and fruit. On exhale the same flavors are present, but muted by an almost soap type flavor.

The effects come on shortly, and are nice head high with almost no body. I didn't indulge in more than a small amount.

{edit}
I filled up another vapor bowl and took two very deep hits...Soaring high comes on fast and strong and keeps on climbing. Heady stuff, for sure. Lots of bouncing thoughts. Concentrating on a subject for any length of time proving difficult. Yikes, this stuff could be really good after a proper cure.
{edit}

As these flowers cure, the flavors will hopefully be more pronounced as will the effect. It does appear very promising at this early stage!

hey I just noticed your location... how do you like Korova???

I've eaten two 10 dose 51/50 bars to no avail... I was wondering if it was just me... or if they are just not as potent as Korova would like to think?

Hehe...the Korova Milk Bar is a reference to A Clockwork Orange. Haven't actually visited the shop ion the Bay, which is where I think you are referring.

right on I like those type of highs from herb... most people that I know have never experienced any speedy scatter brained almost trippy type experiences from weed... Ive only had one phenotype ever give those effects a GHS Alaskan Ice.

can't wait to hear what its like after a nice cure!

Peace,
Infi

Green work humble!

I'm chasing these same effects bro. Hoping I can find something killer in the Malawi.

To follow up on temps, they were not cool and actually rose with flower. I saw purple calyx at the end of harvest even though we had full summer (and especially warm) climate at the end. The color is there and I am sure in slightly cooler weather, it would be more pronounced.
