Picture update! Popping seeds on Sunday! I'll post up pics when they sprout.

Still a little cluttered and I'm putting Orca on the floor, but it's finally time to go!

high timmur;
what a great set up you have!
i'm really curious how it looks @ harvest time... :)

Hey MadMac, thanks for stopping by! It's not a black light. I took a picture of the seedling starter dome with the blue (440 nm) LEDs on in the room. It is just a little dome with a standard T5 light on top. :)

I'll take a better picture tonight without the blue lights on. I should be ready to turn on a few of the big lights by tomorrow anyway.

Transplanted the girls into the mini dwc last night. All of them made it except one. I knocked over the net pots and lost one. I'm so pissed at myself.

Anyway I have about 4 or 5 more seeds germinating to make sure I have 9 strong seedlings to run. They are under the humidity dome and hopefully won't be too far behind the others.

The room is at 78 degrees ambient. Humidity is between 60% and 80%. I only have one fogger hooked up and it's not enough to get the room to 70% steady so I'll have to get the other one running today. I checked the surface temp with the laser thermometer and the seedlings are at 74 degrees. Once the humidity is fixed I'll bump the temperature up to about 80 degrees.

I only have a few lights on and the PPFD at the canopy is 325 μmoles. I plan on bumping the light up by Sunday to around 500 μmoles. The dwc has Veg & Bloom nutes added at 1/4 the recommendation. TDS is at 200 PPM which is slightly higher than expected. I was targeting 150.

The CO2 reading is at 2000 PPM which is very weird. It jumped when I turned on the big lights, but it always seemed to go up and down as moved in and out of the room before. I thought that with all 4 fans on it would drop, but it hasn't yet. I guess I'll check the connections for leaks.

Well the CO2 is dropping, though it still reads 1756 which seems high. If it continues to drop, I'll turn the CO2 back on tomorrow and see how it does.

The humidity was topping out at 55% and the single fogger was running almost all of the time. I got the 2nd one running and now I'm right at 80%. Room temperature is holding steady at 79 degrees and the water temperature is holding at 68 degrees.

I had to add a 2nd Iceprobe to the mini DWC to get the cooling, but it is just barely adequate. I have the set point at 65 degrees and the Iceprobes have been running continuously. I think they will get the water to the set point, but it will take all night.

Are they growing yet?

Are they growing yet?

Well I got the CO2 issue figured out. Had a slight leak and it really was that high. It just took a long time to come back down (I had it shut off at the tank the whole time). I bumped the light to 500 μmoles and the CO2 is set at 1,000 PPM. The water temp in DWC is 66, the pH is 6.20, and the RH in the room is at 60%. I'm trying to push it up, but those foggers are running flat out most of the time. May have to upgrade to the full size fogger.

I'm hoping to get these girls acclimated to high light levels right out of the gate. So far they are liking it. I'm only going to give them a few hours like that and then back it down to 350 μmoles. Within a short time I'd like to have them under full light. I'm just not sure how hard to push things.

When plants pass the point of energy they can absorb or produce the leaves slowly start to fall back towards the ground, if I was putting sensitive or newly rooted/transplanted plants in a new environment I would always try and check on them often and turn lights out if possible if leaves hit parallel with the floor.

Humidity will climb up fast once you got some green matter under those lights!

Thanks rykus. I turned the lights back down last night. I'll watch for signs of too much light as you mentioned. :)

So I just ran all of the lights for a couple of hours to see how the environmental control is (among other things). The RH immediately dropped to 40% and stayed there with both foggers running flat out. It looks like I undersized the one thing I couldn't find any good info on. I was advised at one time that I wouldn't need any humidifiers at all.

It seems that the mini split is really drying out the air as it maintains temperature. I expected this, but couldn't find out how much it affects RH. Now I have to get the larger sized fogger. The bigger one puts out slightly more than 2 of the smaller ones. Should I get one or 2 of these?

Hi dude, please consider that after around a week or two of having plants in there you might find yourself having to reduce the humidity as the plants contribute to the environment. Maybe only upgrade one fogger? Or get just one smaller one to try and knock it up another 10 or 20%.

Things are ticking a long great in here mate I'm still here watching :) Peace out
