I should learn to LST, it would be great for outside stealth wise.

it might be good outside to help hide it but if someone saw a plant all tied up theyd be more inclined to check it out..hence losing the stealth factor

I'm not worried about anyone seeing my plants up close when they are outside, my sites are very secluded and rural.

I am also a fan of Lst , and u have a great thread here Pomh
Here is some example(forgive the bad quality of pics :D )
First is my current nirvana K2 in flower, two weeks into it, lettin the stretch train sideways to keep that even canopy...
and second is an old pic to show one way i train sometimes.. i let it grow up normally (u get a nice root grip in the soil , and then pop it on its side :D give it a day n its all facing up the way u want it, let it veg like this a few days then repot with it stood up and everything pointing sideways, and get ya string out :D bend that lady over :yoinks: and u have it bent down with the growth pointing up again to train further as it grows..

That's cool kooki, I knew someone else that just turned them over that way too to train them.

Nice grow you have going there, and thank you

Haha, never thought of just putting them sideways... Not enough room for me to do that anyways!

I posted some of these on the 12/12 thread, but it's relevant here as well!

You can really see lst working in the middle plant here, all of the lower sites have (mostly) evened out.

Outdoor LST

Hi people! Hi POMH, nice thread!

Just thought I'd share a couple of pics of a LST'd plant I've got outdoors. It's a revegged plant that has recently started flowering.

This is a shot of the main stem:

I grow outdoors and always prune or train/LST/supercrop the plants, it helps reduce height and IMHO maximizes yield, as I get intense sunlight in places that would normally remain shaded.

Peace

Man, Relik.....I love your garden!!!! That looks so nice. Someone asked in this thread if anyone LST'd outdoor plants and here you are!

They look great and does mek it more stealth keeping them down like that. Nice job.

Hi everyone, great lst thread :joint:

another big fan here, and like Relik I do it on outdoor plants. Always seems to get me a nice compromise of small stealthier plants, pretty good yields and better overal quality weed. Anyone else here find that lst plants tend to have stronger smell, more tricomes and resin than a plant just left to do its thing? I've grown lst'ed and non of same strains several times and the lst one always has been better smoke :sasmokin:

Relik  long time! Garden looks wonderful! Hope your grows are going well.

A couple of photos from the current lot, been topped and lsted

got carried away trimming and tieying this one :gaga:

Peace

POMH, I am lucky to live on a tropical island, makes for some nice all-year round growing conditions! As you said, outdoors, LST keeps 'em stealthy, security must always come first when growing.

Hey nomadic bro! It's been a long time since I've left a plant grow with a main cola, so I couldn't answer your question but for sure LST'd plants yield great.

Are those some of your homemade crosses? Lookin' beautiful!

Peace :joint:

Hello all,

Thought I would add some LST porn for your pleasure.

I believe that if you are going to tie them up- may as well get jiggy wth it.

no, I wish! The dark one is a Caribe. Got loads of my stuff on the go too though! Is that a Zamal I see in your garden? Or a Kanak rasta? Keeping sativas small with your climate must be pretty hard to do. Do you plant them from clone or from seed?

Anyone here found certain strains that respond less well to lst? Have done it on some short indicas, tends to open them out more shape wise and get more bud sites. Grown a couple of short indicas where I got the impression that they just seem to prefer having a big main cola.

Peace

The plant pictured is a Skunk#1 x local "Firefox" (because the end product stinks like firefox shit, in a good way of course) F2. I have a male of the same cross who showed balls a couple days ago so I should get some F3 seeds next harvest.

I do clones, but I don't keep mothers, I just clone the outstanding girls and let them flower. Also, I don't keep all of the clones, sometimes I give them to friends or family members. When I want to play with crosses, I start from seed. I am still waiting to find a male that I'll want to clone, and a mother that I'll want to keep for months/years.

Sorry for the threadjack POMH

Peace

I give away probably 75% of my clones. I usually have way too many to deal with myself.

I grow in small cabs, so lst, topping, fimming, and all that are always part of the game. I also train outdoors too, to be stealthy.

I like to tie down, and then top. Ill tie her down, then wait for the primary growth to turn towards the light/sun , and then top or fim her. then lst the secondary stuff and you got a bush.

Relik...no hijack here, helps us to learn seeing how others do their grow and yours is lovely. Same to you nomadic, I really envy those who can grow outdoors.

Nice bushes PT.
