ABC's and LST's

S

screwdriver

Hello all,
I thought I would join in the LST thread. Here my LST in flower for 2 days. I have twine tied to the semi unfolded plastic coated paper clip. Hook stem and slip the twine under the rubberband. There enough friction to hold and easy to adjust. I'll add more strings once they start stretching.

I wait till at least the fith node if from seed, and ill top lower than that if from clone. I am not sure what the general rule is. but that's what I do

Getting close to the end of my first lst experiment.

Yea you can get them mail ordered even! They grow EXTREEMLY slowly, have not changed in size at all since I got them over last xmass, they just started fattening up though so I think they are just now rooted well. Just for fun not for eating.

you realize they can take 18 years before they will even begin to produce buttons right?

Of course they are not for eating dude, I just got them because I love rare slow growing plants, and they are easy to care for to boot.

Hey yall, I had these in veg for a long time so I was able to prune and train and LST. This is the most even canopy I've ever gotten, but I messed with them a good bit.
Now, I am tucking as many fan leaves under as I can, that's why they look like they are "hanging" underneath.

These are an ice princess bubblegum cross of some sort and are in their 3rd week in flower.

 pomh . It looks like u done a great job. One mistake i often make is taking the training too far :yoinks: Not leaving enough space for air flow, or buds to grow into, or just too many lower bud sites left that "suck" potential out of the main top level buds.. hehe i cld go on But u have done great with yours, they look set up to fill out healthily now
I also like the tuck or even at times tie down fan leaves, dont like to snip much off my plants(one reason i end up with lower budsites left on :D ) and found it works better than removing them(must thank Kov for showin me the error of my ways there)
Anyhow cant wait to see how they look budded up n finishing :yummy:
And also a shot of K2 not far off finished i LST'd to show u can get evenish canopies hehe

This is my second grow and first with a sativa, both LST'd. I use long pipe cleaners to manipulate the stems into shape.

Here's a good view of her stalk. You can see where I topped her during veg and later pruned some undergrowth. Now she's almost 2 months into flower.

this is probably old/useless knowledge, but instead of screws in the pot i have used clothes pegs. easily adjustable and cheap, and even easier than screwing (pots that is ;) )

i used rubberbands my first grow and that worked well but wasnt stiff enough for stubborn plants. now i use rubber coated paper clips that are workin awesome! i saw someone on here using them and tried it, works great! ill have to get some pics better showing my LST'ing. its like a damn jungle in there!
