The theory of it is to expose all/as much as possible grow sights to receiving light, increase yield and I do believe I read somewhere that the removing of foliage will make the plant think it's under attack and excrete more of its defense to repel predators......u know, the frosty stuff. All in all, no little tiny buds at the bottom of plant r dwindling away under the shade and in turn are plump and of quality produce. In theory
What about rh?I have 70% when lights close and 52% lights on,what is the ideal for malawi?
I’ve tried that whole defoliating stuff. Couldn’t tell any difference in terms of bud growth or frost. Now I only do it if a plant is too compact and needs more air, something that rarely happens with sativas. Just my 2 cents.
Nice ladies, by the way!

I tuck the leaves in and around each other until they shade a growth tip because they need the light to grow buds and being shaded drastically slows them down. Removing the shade leaves really does slow down the overall rate of growth and stresses them out though so it's something I really try to avoid.
You will find that there is a much larger and more active community on ICM. There are plenty of "stickys" on every possible technique and dozens and dozens of comments and contentious argueing over the fine points of, well just about every aspect of growing weed.
I have an account on Growweedeasy. Its an excellent source, and there are excellent people involved. In no way am I denigrating that forum.
Generally its all the same info, This is a very active place....[/QUOTE.
Hells yea, love the info overload!!i! Can b quite overwhelming for a first timer but this is a life's dream bein able to produce my own medication without the ol parental units heralding disapproval.....now to work on their disappointment in me. GWE was the website I scoured front n back , over and over for a year so I could b ready to attempt my own successful grow
