I have one that is very compact growing with such a strong lemony citrus smell that is so sharp you would be afraid to use it if it was a detergent with that smell fearing it would take the skin off your hands.
I have a clone from her and I might revege her, will see after she is done.
Does any one have an idea how potent the outdoor type is? I have 6 clones of this one for a swamp grow in another month.

Hello Eskimo Quinn.

M13 is compact with strong stem and branches.
Has lemon, woody smell and dry woody taste.
Sounds similar and keep a clone.

You going to grow a wicked Malawi swamp thing. :canabis:

Oh god now i need to order some Malawi. Any one crossing sour bubble and malawi need testers? haha. sadly i've spent way to much on beans this year and its only February. Sour bubble is always out of stock so i guess i'm going to grab malawi next time.

This is a picture of the mawai that is much more vigorous grower but with out a strong smell. I had to repot her because the roots were preventing proper drainage in the three liter air pot she was in.
Was down in the swamp today setting up the air fence I made to put the dirt in. Basically just a fine mesh barrier with no bottom 12" high. Beautiful black river bottom dirt that I added the minerals to make a high brix grow. I plan on putting out the Malawi, Punta Rojo, Highland Mexican x Blueberry, and maybe a couple of mangobiche. I know my him x bb is a great producer, just waiting on the Malawi to show what she has.
Beautiful plants yourcorpse.
Thanks Zandar, how are you training that plant to get such a compact grow?

I was going to wait a few more weeks before I got 12 of these 20 beans wet but between Tang and Zanddar, I just could not resist.....lol... I just put them into wet paper towels today.
Should I start a new thread or tag along here?

Corpsey yours must be really taking off by now!

Nice healthy plant maxibiogreen. I have seen similar in f2 and from Ace.
I like the branching and bud sites. Trained up it could produce a nice yield of solid bud.

Here is a young Malawi clone compared to the same plant when older.
A monster with lots of bud sites and yields well.

Some amber just starting on this Malawi and we see what she looks like in 2 weeks on water.

Showing your plant at different stages would be interesting to all.

thx for your answer z
went back to the grow room this morning and found 1 male 2 females out of the 3.
I m a little surprised how fast they showed sex,the plants aren't even mature and are still vegging, i wasn't expecting this to happen so soon.
all plants and pics of your malawis are from the m13 clone?

Yes same M13 clone at different stages. They take about a month from seed to sex.
From seed they start to flower in about 4 weeks. Clones do much better and faster.

What are some of the earlier finishing phenos?
will be running some outdoor in california. This thread makes my mouth water.
can't wait. Thanks everyone for sharing.
does Malawi respond well to topping and prunning. Or just let it go verticle.

Does anybody know what the Malawi was crossed with?

Judging by the photos, it doesn't look like a plant that could survive in an equatorial climate.

question @DUBI

what is the ratio short internode/long internode of the malawi feminised or standard ?

I've got a short compact purple haze x malawi std mâle to try for crosses. Have I more chance to get powerfull high (like malawi killer cut) than with other long internode sisters & brothers phm ?
