I added manure and added snail blockers to this spot. This will be my mainspot for this year.
The plants are growing fast here. And it is quite well hidden.

I love the fact that there is growing giant hogsweed there. That means no kids.

hogsweed WTF - i never saw one of those back in mälardalen... funky plant :D

edit - i know now what it is..

Giant Hogweed is a phototoxic plant. Its sap can cause phytophotodermatitis (severe skin inflammations) when the skin is exposed to sunlight or to UV-rays

Things are going okay, not much is happening right now. The plants has almost completely stopped growing during the harsh rainy weather this week.
Winds coming from North and northeast, which isn't good at all for the temperature.

The spot grown near the waterside, the ones in the blue boxes. That spot has been more or less canceled, I had a huge snail problem. Last time I visited around 50% were gone.

I added 50 liters of cow manure to the clay/swamp spot. Today or tomorrow I will add 100l of Spaghnum peat and 50l of poor quality soil (acidic).
It's a bit too late for all of this, but I couldn't really afford it earlier.

Hopefully that will improve the soil structure, if not for this year. Atleast it will be good for next years grow if it doesn't get found, that is.

The plants on the cliff has stopped growing, don't know why. Probably poor soil.

An update on the cliff spot. It seems like the older plants have stopped growing, or atleast is growing very slow.
Why might that be?

The young plants are Swestar and the older ones Thyphoon (selfgerminated).

This is a bit embarrassing, Why haven't the plants made any progress yet?

looking at the plants i can see 2 things that directly spring to mind;

the purple tone on the leafs, and the yellowing leafs from underneath. there is 3 possibilities here - one is the fact maybe the soil is TOO WET. the other could be lack of nutes. 3rd temps. what night temps do you got? looks at the plants like its going below 17 in the nights.

i guess if is the temp thing it will sort out by it self with time. if the soil is too wet - you can dig trenches around the plants to leach out water. i think i remember you using a good soil mix? is it so?

peace and good luck :D

I haven't really added any soil this year to the plot, just some clay and some sand.
I manured the whole plot last week. Only on the top tho. And early on i added bloodmeal and a little of the bone meal that was left.

The temperature sinks to between 4-10 degrees celsius during the nights right now, and there was a whole week of rain before.

The larger plants are mainly Thyphoon, and maybe one or two Swestar plants, the young seedlings are mixed.

looking good bro! you should put two cans together to cover the surface better and be carefull about the bending angle.

esbe, thanks..
I have run out of cans, but it does not seem to be a lot of snails there.
So I think they will survive anyway.

The thing is the lack of the sunlight and heat at the moment. Hopefully there will be a warm summer later on.

I will post an update probably tomorrow on the cliff plants.
I have 6 more seedlings that I will have to wait for, before going to the larger spot.
So for that spot I will post an update late this week or next week.

They seem to be getting some height now, it's just too cold and rainy for any optimal growth. Where's those sunrays when you need them. :(

No, I bought it from a trapper that is living a hermits life in the deep forests of Sweden. He sells moose's as transport for the poor country living folks.

They can outrun a horse easily, you should get one as well.
Once you've tried a moose you will never go back to using the horse for riding.

looking good koi,

i have some young thyphoon 2 and they were slow for a bit as seedling but they they shot up..

that moose looks very happy u must treat it well
