Taco,
One thing about the Skunk#1's is that most are just average at best with some really nice standouts to be found..I enjoy the hunt so it is OK with me but someone only growing a few seeds I can understand not having excellent results....

yeah that has always amused me. for being a stable strain since the late 70s and a strain you often hear about being stable its actually quite unstable. you can find some real indicas or some real sativas out the same pack. I found a pheno that had buds so sativa they were like a less extreme version of the lumbo g pike posted.

nevertheless the right skunk is a great skunk

Anybody know whats the difference between Sam the Skunkman's Original Haze x Skunk#1 and TFD Fuma Con Dios which is also Haze x Skunk#1? Are they the same thing sold under two different names? If I remember correctly I think I read somewhere that Skunkman has worked for TFD before. Is that true?

I've smoked both and found them pretty similar (very good).

I was wondering what them Mexican Sativa freebies looked like. I got a pack to grow out. Nice looking plants for sure.

Closet Funk,

Are you referring to the Oaxacan freebie??If yes,,many have grown them with similar results..Unique growth(heavily sativa),odor and flavor...Sorta greeny but not quite that..Light high, airy and all in the head..
Take care..................................CC

Mr.Greenjeans..
The were around 90 days, some a little longer..

Underground,
Yes,sam did work with the TFD crew or at least brought stock for them to try and work with..Including but not limited to (Haze,Skunk#1)so it would stand to reason that if they are not the same then they are closely related...

A lttle slice of Pie, Apple Pie that is, from Reeferman. I post this to show that sativas can be done when you have limited space. Flowered at 6 inches, this clone will be done in a couple of weeks. She is 2 foot tall with pot. Don't be scared to grow sativas just because you have limited space. Peace

My experience too. Here's an Amnesia99 put into flowering at 8" height - she ended up just over 3'. Start at 6" and she finishes at about 2'. Haven't tried running a pure haze though...

a little smoke report on destroyer...the buds are real greasy for usual thai, two dominant phenos with the darker fatter blade pheno the keeper of the bunch. the best way too descibe it is a "mexican bluberry", thats exactly what it tastes like, the hi's felt mostly in the head with potency being around a 7, nothing too special about the plant besides what was earlier described and the fact its not commercial like at all. still wasnt worth the buck, IMO.

I agree about the destroyer 100%. It wasn't thai like at all. They even describe it as not being mold resistant. I cant wrap my head around a supposed thai dominant strain not being mold resistant. Though I grew the f1 solely indoors I used an early flowering lavender colored dense pheno to breed some f2's and hybrids with other sativas that were grown outdoors. Lo and behold some plants from the f2's and every hybrid produced purple hairs which I always understood to be an indica trait. I'm fairly certain its not a pure sativa.

I have a slight different opinion. The main difference is I found the high to be quite close to thaï considering you're growing an hybrid. At least, compared with the Thaïs I grew before...

The hybrid part is a mexican / colombian hybrid which may have slight indica genes in it. It's known that some indica genes are present in these areas (Check the BSC Colombian gold in my gallery) Backcrossed 7 times, but I know that some people have found more indica pheno in the further generations of Destroyer. I found the high interesting but I agree it's not very strong. You can smoke it during all day without problems. The strain is very nice to grow, many cristals in the end of flowering, nice smell, I found it like agrum not exactly citrusy as with the Thaïs. It was grown under HPS and the strain was bred outdoor from what I understood (?). Well, this is only one report, I can not make definitive conclusions about this strain, I should try it outdoor / greenhouse before, with different grow conditions. I remember Chaman did it in C-R and appreciated it from what I remember.

Here are some pics :)

Good vibes

Very nice sativas. My dream grow is a greenhouse full of 100+ day sativas.
I didnt see any mention of african sativas, durban, swazi, etc.
The more sativa, the better. Patience will pay off.

peace
