off for a little trail ride in a bit,still been oddly windy this spring,usually its just hot by now,its unusual for the winds to stick around this long,not happy about that,but then again it aint 100 out...
its trying to rain here...better get moving...guess i should toss the rain poncho in the pack...

yeah,rain becomes sorta important out here...if for no other reason than it knocks the trail dust down...

mornin campers...it did rain last night!
nice little thunderbumper,over in like 15 minutes...but it got the ground wet....trails should be prime assuming it rained there...

hmmmm,gotta figure out where to go..looking at the forecast i think i need to ride into the wind to start the day since it could get gusty later on...that way its at my back for the trip home...and theres a trail i have been working,it has a "fun" direction to it when ridden from top to bottom,as a downhill it fast and fun...climb it from bottom to top its not so fast or fun...either direction theres climbing to be done...short,steep "gut punch" climbs...physically hard,but not technical on the way down,but climbing from the bottom they are all super loose with miserable traction...i have yet to make a clean accent...always stall out and lose traction and have to put a foot down...best i have done is one dab...a dab is when you put your foot down..dabs are good at home with rosin,bad on the trail..
anyway,with the rain maybe there will be enough traction to nail all the climbs...

Time to mow the lawn....again. hard to keep up this year. Explosive growth.

weird,i would have thought chugging bottles of jack daniels would make you healthy! wait,im thinking of kale smoothies....
well that worked out well...it was a fight getting out to the trails,but once i was out there the wind became a sort of non-factor,and on the way home it was at my back and 15+mph so it was an easy cruise home...and i finally managed to ride the trail i have been working on cleanly!only took me 4-5 attempts...i was right,the little bit of rain cemented the trail back together just enough for me to eek out the climbs,even took 4th overall on the top ten list,although thats mainly because no one goes in that direction...in the other direction i think im still in 5th or 6th place...and a #9 on the top ten for a different climb,been hovering just off the bottom of the top ten for a while,finally cracked the list
you can see the trail in a couple spots,tough little climbs no matter what direction...

mornin campers...got my seedlings mostly sexed now....4 casey jones x f13 and at least one karma freebie which i think is mahayana...
another windy day,just doing laundry and errands,got a couple of dirty bikes over here too,might go ahead and wash them..the ICT needs a new chain so may as well clean the rest of the drivetrain...and the krampus is pretty dusty too...although it was cleaner when i got home than before i rode yesterday...
we may actually get some more rain wednesday
guess it will be trail riding thursday,cant waste hero dirt!
