:tiphat:, yep....forgot to mention the wire size and all needs to be correct

I know everyone is trying to help, BUT, Whatever you do:

DO NOT just swap out your 15A breaker to a 20A breaker unless you determine for certain that the circuit is entirely wired with 12/2 plus ground romex cable or the equivalent.

Just to be clear, i wouldnt be doing any of this myself. My buddy is a sparky so im going to have him come over and check it out....its an older house so I imagine the wiring is older too. I just wanted to get a little info so I dont sound like a ridiculous dumbass....moreso than I already do, that is

And that's why I told him to pm me if he decided to do it on his own,:tiphat:

White lotus: you have to upgrade your circuit breakers to handle a heavier load capacity. 15 amps is not enough to run all that power.

Yes, Bud Green is right about that. If it's a 15 amp breaker already, it's likely that the circuit is wired with 14gauge wire. To go up to a 20 amp circuit you'll need a breaker rated at 20amp, which needs 12gauge wire to be there.

If you switch out a 15a breaker for a 20a breaker and the wires are the 14g size, you are setting up a very real possibility of an electrical fire.

run a 12/3 romex cable to that room from the panel . that will give you 2 20amp circuits in there to play with . put a duplex receptical on each circuit & you'll have 4 plugs , 2 each on a seperate 20 amp circuit . your sparky will know exactly what i mean .

Or go with 10/3 with a 30amp breaker! that will give you more room(amps) to play with.

Run a new 240v line into the room. This is the easiest upgrade to do. Once you have the line you can add a power box lie this

 the hardest part of that whole thing will be running the wire (hidden ) to your room . if its on a first floor & you have an open basement , its real easy !
but any electrician worth his weight in copper will be able to run a 12/3 anywhere you want it .

Single story and crawl space. the wire would have to go along my patio then into the crawl space though....not sure how thatll look

Went out for dinner last night with Mom. The place we went to had these salt shakers that where not like anything I've seen before as a salt shaker. After spending several minutes trying to figure out how the f-ing hell to apply salt to my fries, figured out that its like a pepper grinder and you have to twist the dammed thing to get the salt to come out. A person has to use two hand to apply salt to something with this salt shaker. My shoulder was broken once upon a time and I have problems with opening jars from the fridge, like pickle jars and other jars and some times the lid on the 2liter soda bottle. Using that salt shaker hurt like hell, just like trying to open a jar of something from the fridge. If I knew ahead of time I was going to need to bring an adjustable wrench to work the salt shaker I would have brought one.
