Had a fucking seizure earlier. Having to wait on a ride to the hospital because this fucking town cut the bus route to the hospital!!!

Forget about that bus shit! Take Uber if you don't have wheels, or cant drive.

I hope you didn't bite the hell out of your tongue

f you dont get the chemistry of the first video this one explains it a little differently. Might be easier to understand in this video.

Im always interested in stuff like that!

That's a couple of his titles anyway. He has 4-5 colleges under his belt, including Stanford. He has even been summoned to the White House by a Vice President before, for a private consultation.

So anyway, I had dinner with him at his place tonight. I prepared Dungeness crab cocktail, American style, That I served in some beautiful vintage hand made pewter based martini glasses, and also brought a wonderful tart for desert. He cooked a marinated Chinese style turkey breast It was a killer dinner.

Each time before dinner over there, I jot down some notes on questions I have regarding things like Earth science to ask him over dinner.

Tonight I asked about Earths core. I was curious as to why it hasn't cooled down, after billions of years of circling the Sun in outer space.

I asked if, somehow, the Earth collects heat from the solar wind, and focuses it on the core, keeping it molten, or if plate movement, caused an internal heat reaction.

He didn't have an answer, and had never thought about it before. He did say however, that other planets in the solar system were still very hot as well. I think he mentioned Mercury and Venus.

He will likely research it, and get back to me later.

Anyway, I hope you guys (Besides Gano :huggg:) had a great New Years day! Peace.

That vertical grow is kicking ass Ich, absolutely awesome...cannot ask for a better canopy than that.

Good thing I am allowed to post my pics here as I don’t have enough content nor friends to start my own thread. Thanks unc 👊

Time to get rolling.......

Good morning my friends

That canopy went from this.

To this in 38 days.

Not perfect but better than the last. The back plant is a little thin about 3/4 of the way up from the bottom. But still a good run.

Dr you are lucky to have a dad you can get along with. Some of the posters here didnt have or dont have a dad like that.

From what I have read Earths core is hot from radioactive reactions. But I just read that and I am not a expert. Venus is like that because of the greenhouse effect and being so close to the sun. Not sure about the other planets. But like i said I am not a expert and that is what I have read.

Of the 2 videos I like the first video I posted. But that takes some knowledge on chemistry to understand.

You are right 190 if I didnt post here I most likely would not do a thread because it takes a decent amount of content. Not sure I could keep it up because of the time it takes. Or if enough people would follow it or be interested.

So I will dump my load of crap all over uncs thread.

Yeah, a lot of us do that... It sure is easier....Thanks Unc, we can even put up with your bike pics, to have a free place to hang out....:tiphat:

Itchy is the Vert grow a space saver of do you feel its a superior grow technic? As a space saver its very cool.Finding strains that perform from that kind of training must be another subject matter.

2 things about it that I like.

1 it is a space saver. The canopy in the picture is over 5 foot tall and 7 foot wide. The foot print of the room is 5 x 7. So more canopy on the wall than the floor foot print. And I can do 2 canopies in that room.

2 It is easier to get to when training. I hate bending over and covering my entire arm with stickyness from reaching in to work on a plant in the back. Plus I can stand or sit on a bucket in front of the plants just inches away from the plants. Makes it easier to see the plants and find problems.

That said it takes more skill to maximize the canopy. I have been growing like this for 8 years and have grown many many plants. If you look at my first picture I hacked the crap out of the plants. It takes skill to know what to cut off based on what will grow back.

Finding plants is not to bad. Stay with about a 50/50 mix of sativa to indica. To much of either means to much lost to pruning. If you know what you are doing you can manipulate the light in veg to help with this. By this I mean make the indicas stretch and prevent the sativas from stretching.

But not for everybody for sure.

Well the third thing I like is the ability to grow mixed strains. I dont have to mover the lights up for one plant because it stretched to much. And I can take a plant out and put another in its place. Which means I can harvest at different times if I want to.

So the modularity is a big plus for me.

Freezing cold here 30f. I forgot to close my intake it got down to 58f. Had to open the heater vent to get the temps back up.

You vert grows inspired me recently. I needed some extra heat so I took out an air cooled reflector and put in an old bat wing. Then bent it so the light goes every where. Took a trellis and pvc and built a 3 sided cage. I am about to place 6 plants under it. Ends up leaving me with a little over 3x3 on the floor and 3 sections about 3x4 of verticle space. It will be interesting to see how thar spot fills in. I do not see any way it could hurt my yield.

Go to the vert link below my post and see what I did there. It gives weekly pictures of the plants around the lights. It may help you when you train your plants to your screens.

RH is down to 25% as well. You would think it would be 2x that. RH in Cali sucks most of the year.

the earths core is cooling down, just takes millions of years for the half life of the radioactive elements to hit the point where they aren't emitting energy...plus theres the tremendous pressure keeping it in whatever weird liquid state the core is in...and theres all that stuff hillary swank did to keep the core molten in the movie the core:)

Unc, did you hear the hypothesis that Florida temps will be like New England and vice versa over the next however many years? It’s been awefully warm here so far this year. Makes me think twice about it.

dunno about that but it's snowing here!

not going to amount o much i'm guessing, they've downgraded the amount of snow several times today...
